My wife and I spent 4 days at this very Centrally located Inn. (Jan gave it to me as a Christmas gift). We were greeted very warmly (and with a quite a lot of humor) and were given a tour of a deceivingly large Inn. (Who knew it had a heated indoor pool?). Our room though not large (They have larger ones but not on the 1st floor, which we needed), was nicely done and had all the essentials and more. (even free wireless). Dinners each night, which are included, were some of the best meals we have ever enjoyed. Breakfast, also included, though no eggs, did have a verity of excellent inn made breads, muffins, French toast, and Quiche. The servers both at breakfast and Dinner were excellent. The Innkeeper, Mac, was extremely helpful too all the guests, with great knowledgeable tips on touring the Cape and all it's beautiful natural attractions. The inns central location made his daytrip excursions just enough. Having an excellent dinner included, always ended the day perfectly.

Place could use some updating, walls are thin, but service and food at dinner was fantastic.

My family stayed at the Inn July. Out room was bright quite large and had been just redone. We were surprised that for a 200 year old house it was really quite nice. The food was GREAT . The staff was always willing to answer questions and the Innkeeper was very helpful and knew lots of places that we would be interested in seeing. The indoor pool and hot tub were quiet areas where I could unwind from the kids when my husband took them to play miniature golf in Hyannis, which was a few minutes away. All in all we had a wonderful vacation. I am planning to go back this winter without the kids for a three day get-a-way during one of the mystery weekends. a great place to relax

My wife and I have lived in Yarmouth Port for the last 7 years. We have eaten and had our friends stay at this Inn many, many times over the years. Our friends come to visit us year after year and they always stay at the Colonial House Inn. On July 17th we had dinner with our friends at the Inn and we talked about all the changes at the Inn since their visit last year. The paint on the outside had been freshened up, a new fire escape on the side of the building, new rug in the Veranda dining room, new indoor swimming pool, even their two rooms that they rented had been freshened up. They were glad that the Innkeeper had not replaced the beautiful furniture that was in their rooms. I could go on and on. Because it is a home away from home to many people and Mac the Innkeeper has always been a gracious host myself, my wife and our friends hope you will give this gracious old inn a try.
