Description of the York Beach vacation home rental

Awaken to the sound of seagulls and the ocean crashing the shore in this home on Long Sands Beach. Near the Cutty Sark Motel, it is a across the road from Long Sands Beach and a short walk to Short Sands Beach with candlestick bowling, saltwater taffy, and the Fun-O-Rama. The home has ocean views from the decks, the master bedroom, the kitchen, and the living room. In the evenings, take a very short stroll to the ice cream stand and get delicious fried dough or ice cream. The mornings should be spent with coffee on the deck watching the tide go out.

This York Beach rental house has 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, full-size kitchen and huge deck. There is parking for up to four cars. Enjoy Maine!

Area Information

York Beach is a nostalgic town. There are no franchises here, it is a town that has kept its roots. The Nubble Lighthouse is a great spot to sit on the rocks, smell the salt air, and watch the waves crash the shore. The Goldenrod Restaurant has been around for 100 years and still makes saltwater taffy as you watch. Fun-O-Rama is a kid's dream, with its arcades and games that delight both young and old. The bowling alley has candlestick bowling, with lanes that date back to another era. Nearby Kittery, Maine has outlet stores for those rainy days.

Nice relaxing and pleasant cottage just across the street from the beach with a wonderful large deck overlooking the ocean. Perfect for a family, which in our case consisted of my husband, our boys (3 and 5) and my parents. We all had a great time !

This relaxing house has all the comforts of home plus a beautiful deck with views of the ocean. The owner quaintly leaves a guest book, in which previous guests can provide plenty of pointers and share their experiences. There are three bedrooms but the master bedroom is the only one with a spectacular view. The other two bedrooms are sufficient for sleeping, which is all you need them for at this great location. Short Sands, the end of Long Sands, and Nubble Light are all in easily walkable distance. Of course, the ocean is right across the street. The owners and their sister-in-law, who manages the home, are very pleasant and easy to work with. Great experience!

AT Last !The Perfect Ocean Cottage

I must say after renting cottages for over 30 years in York Beach Maine. I never have to search again because this charming place has it all! beautiful ocean views, parking for 4 cars, big safe deck overlooking the ocean!Large kitchen sunny & bright, with beautiful ocean views!large & comfortable living room, with big windowns that open to let in the ocean breezes, plus a good size tv with tons of movies , dvd's, the master bedroom has beautiful ocean views, and you can hear the waves crashing on the shore. You can feel the love the owners have put into this warm & charming beach house, and did I also mention, it is right across the street from the Ocean!!!My family adore this cottage and will return again & again!

Nicest Vacation Ever!

The week in Maine was one of my best vacations ever. The house was a dream; everything there that you could possibly need for a week's stay. The location couldn't have been better and although it rained several days, even that didn't matter at all. I live in the "woods" more or less and to be at the shore and have the entire week to enjoy it was a gift. I will most definitely be getting in touch with Jill to see about next season. Wonderful Vacation Home!

This was a fantastic place to stay. We absolutely loved the location (right across the street from Long Sands Beach). Our kids played in the rocks and tide pools constantly. The home was delightful (especially the upstairs deck - with a beautiful view of the ocean). Everything was exactly as described. We look forward to vacationing in this home for many years to come!
