Accomodations:
3 bedroom, 2 ba (and bonus room) ... awesome deck with bar-b-que It is possible you will see deer on the property or nearby area on your drives! Washer and dryer on deck. Parking for boat and trailer or RV. Pellet stove adds delightful ambiance for the family time around the TV with Satelite and DVD player. Holidays are very popular, may be booked @ a slightly higher than weekend rate and often book many months in advance. Minimum stay of 6 nights during May 1st to Sept 30. Minimum stay of 3 nights from Oct 1 to April 30. 10% premium added to stays that are below the minimum stay indicated above.
FUN VAC PLAN - 3, 5, 6 and 7 day custom vacation plan can be developed from a 10 minute questionaire you complete. Excellent stay!

We rented the cabin for a week for my brothers wedding over memorial weekend. Judging by my chats with Kathy I knew we would have a fantastic time because she was so attentive & informative from the very first email. The cabin was lovely and clean and we were provided with linens/bedding as well as everything you needed for the kitchen (and even laundry detergent if we needed it!) there were manuals for everything so we weren't left wondering how to work things which we really appreciated. The views of the trees and the sunset were spectacular in the evenings from the deck. We were right up the street from bass lake and only 13 miles from Yosemite which was awesome. We had such a wonderful time and we would love to come back to stay again.

Great Summer Getaway

We had a wonderful time in this very spacious home. We wanted to have a great family and friends vacation to yosemite. With 7 children and 4 adults we were very comfortable and the children enjoyed playing in the big back yard. We barbecued almost every night the large deck was a great added living space. The proximity to Yosemite and Bass Lake made it an action packed week for us. We were all sad to leave. Kathy was very helpful and makes sure you are well stocked with all that you need. We would definitely like to visit again.

WE loved the cabin, the location was great! We slept 10 in the cabin comfortably... 2 families with children and a few single adults in our extended family! The 13 mile drive to Yosemite varied in time depending on the time of day we traveled but the drive to Bass Lake and the activities there were great! We rented a boat and wave runners from BASS LAKE RENTALS - give yourself plenty of time to check in BEFORE your rental time begins because they are not efficient with ck in and they do not credit your rental - we were 30 minutes early and still lost an hour out of our rental time when we rented a boat! We also loved the waterfalls - in Yosemite; the Pack Station trail ride was dusty; the Moonlight Train ride was expensive - the BBQ was fair...but we loved the campfire! Food at Yosemite is a bit pricey! Round House Pizza was great!!! Beware of the Chinese rest. next door though! Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our time in Yosemite and surrounding areas and the cabin accommodated us well... any problems we had were promptly responded to by Kathy... Not having wifi or reliable cell service made us realize how dependent on it we have become...so do your research before coming to Yosemite! The thrift shops were also a hit!!!

The stay at the vacation home was a great experience. Kathy was helpful right from the first time I emailed her till the date we left Yosemite. She patiently answered all my questions through phone and email, whether the questions were about the house, Yosemite or about anything related to my vacation. We got great instructions about the home, on how to go about using the facilities and the places to see/eat. While we were there, I emailed her with some questions; She not only emailed me back, but left a voice-mail on my phone and the land-line. This shows how caring she is for the guests. When we reached the house, it was kept in absolutely fantastic order- net and clean and everything was so organized. Thank you so much Kathy for being such an amazing host and contributing in making this reunion a lifetime memory. I will surely recommend the house and I hope we come back soon ! :-)

What More Could You Ask For

Our family reunion/vacation couldn't have been any better! Place is marvelous! It comfortably accomodated all 13 of us. Everything you can think of needing are all there. There's even a boat parked in front of the house for photo purposes:) We had a great time at the lake on Friday afternoon, Yosemite Valley the whole day Saturday and even attended Easter Mass at St. Dominique on Sunday. We will definitely do this again one summer. Thanks a million Kathy and Doug for letting us rent your Vacation Home!

This cabin is like home away from home except you are on vacation. Loved sitting out on the deck, bbqing with the family, and playing card games. Really clean and decorated with many personal touches. Quick drive to the boat dock and the lake is beautiful. Enjoyed tooling around at sunset and going for ice cream.

Kathy thought of everything. It doesn't take long after settling in before you notice the extras attention that was put into the house, the amenities, quite surroundings and pleasant atmosphere. Really close to the lake and kids really had a blast. We had some great ping pong matches. Great way to end a great summer.

The "whole family" (3 generations) spent the week and had a great time. The large deck and the bonus room provided space so that we didn't feel crowded despite there being 8 adults, 8 kids and 2 dogs! Several fun days were spent on nearby Bass Lake and a day in Yosemite, where the falls were spectacular. There was ample parking for our several vehicles, including a motorhome and boat trailer. Owners were flexible and a pleasure to work with. I can't imagine finding a better vacation place for a large group!

Wonderful vacation home!!

This cabin was perfect for our family vacation. It had everything we needed, was close to everything and the owners are wonderful to work with! We even enjoyed the neighbors. The lake is so close that we were able to stop by almost every day and was very refreshing after hikes. (The day use camp area sells week passes for $15. Totally worth it.) Our dog was happy, the kids were happy, and the adults could watch kids in the backyard play from the raised, covered patio. (Putting fans on the patio was a great idea!) Having the extra blow up mattresses was so convenient. The owners try to think of everything needed, and there were a bunch of us there! By the way, we were there over the 4th of July holiday, and the fireworks on the lake were a blast!

Big house for large family reunion or get together with friends. Centrally located between Yosemite and Bass Lake not far from Fresno and near CASINO also plenty grocery shopping and fast food resturants to eat if you don't cook Big covered deck may need bug repellant as you go into summer months. Pizza Factory in Oakhurst great family place. easy drive 50 miles out Fresno and hour to Yosemite valley.

We stayed at the house over Memorial Day weekend. Although the weather was not great, we still had a wonderful time. The house was large and comfortable enough to accommodate 5 adults, 5 kids and 2 dogs! Remodeled bathrooms and kitchen were clean and well stocked.

We had a wonderful family vacation and the vacation home was so warm and inviting. The inside was a little bit smaller than we expected but it was a great deal! A lot of time was spent on the large porch. When it was hot there was a short drive to Bass Lake, September was perfect weather for swimming. On the cooler days we headed to Yosemite to go on day hikes or go to the Valley for lunch. Thank you for the memories!

Our family vacation was fantastic! Our 3 children & their families were with us the entire week. We had plenty of room without feeling like we were in each others' space (7 adults and 3 children). We loved the balcony. Great place for eating and visiting! The location of the cabin is perfect. We were close to the lake as well as Yosemite. We spent most of our time hiking in Yosemite. Our next trip will include more time at the lake. It was an overall super place to be with the family making great memories with our children & grandchildren! The entire family wants to return.

we had a wonderful family anniversary trip with our three children and their spouses and our three grandaughters and the house was nice and spacious with lots of fun activities after touring Yosemite and Bass lake like Karoke,ping pong and basketball. We did most of our meals at the house and we enjoyed the covered deck at night. There was ample room for all eleven of us and much nicer than four hotel rooms!! We definately would like to come back again sometime.

My family along with my friends family rent this place for the Christmas vacation, found this place a perfect vacation place, the house located in the wood nestled by huge trees around the house, beautifull patio with barbeque, the house is only 12 miles west of yosemite, our family really enjoyed the facility. We loved the Kitchen, a perfect place to prepare your food, relax on the dining table and enjoy the view outside.The only thing we felt little insecure is the recreation room downstairs, the window does not have lock nor any grill. We recommend this place to everyone who wants to visit Bass lake or Yosemite park.

We found the home to be both clean and inviting, and the well stocked kitchen allowed us to cook as much (or as little) as we wanted! Sleeping accommodations were more than comfortable for our large group. One of the best cabin rentals we have used. Excellent location outside of the park- great for hiking, and accessing the local activities. Yosemite Valley was a bit of a trek in the bad weather, but there is so much to do in the surrounding area (a giant sequoia forest just 3 miles away for those that hate the crowds- we had the place to ourselves!). Owners were very gracious and accommodating. Overall, cabin highly recommended!! :)

great space

Great space, We came across this space online and hoped it would work out for our day hike up Half Dome in Yosemite. We were extremely surprised and blessed with this space. We ended up having a large number of people in and out over our 3 night stay and everyone had space to move around. The deck/patio is really inviting no matter how you plan to use the space. The walkout basement was a great place for the kids to hang out while the adults enjoyed the main level. We found the owners to be very accommodating and pleasant to work with throughout the whole process. The only downside was noticed after out 18 mile hike up to Half Dome… stairs… not something you look forward to after a long hike. We very much look forward to using the “cabin” again. Tony
