The rent is $400 per week ($350 IF PREPAID)/$75 per night/$1600 per month ($1500 IF PREPAID; $50 for each additonal night for weekly and monthly rentals. I require a $100 deposit for each week being reserved. I accept US Postal money orders, personal checks being sent at least three weeks prior to arrival, credit cards via PayPal (add 3.5% fee).

What an awesome experience! I was a little apprehensive about staying in a stranger's home. We arrived to find a welcome basket with useful items; unexpected but nice touch. The room is very private. Tammy welcomed my husband and I upon arrival, showed us around, gave us her number and we rarely saw the family at all. All our needs were met. The room was cleaned everyday and we were never bothered. It was nice to be able to work out and do my laundry at the same time. We enjoyed the jacuzzi and even barbecued some steaks. I definitely would recommend this room to anybody. We plan to visit again next year. Way better than any of the Yuma hotels we've stayed at. A+++

In September 2007 I was looking at a two week long grueling business trip to Yuma, AZ. Hotels are cold and impersonal, I was looking for lodging with more of a local feel. Long story short, I ended up staying with the Lewis family. Their home was immaculate, clean, modern, tastefully decorated. Many of the amenities offered you just can't find anywhere else. The pool is gorgeous, and a relief after a long day, one could say its an "ool" as you know for sure the "Pee" is missing. The gym was perfect for strength and cardio training. The high speed internet was faster then any hotel I have ever stayed at, and you didn't have to keep entering an access code to get in. The room I stayed in was practically sterile, and the linens assure a cozy sleep. The recently remodeled private bath, gave me piece of mind that you really don't get at a public establishment. I had a large Lazy Boy recliner in my room, that really gave it a personal homey touch that made it seem more like staying with friends or family. The location was perfect for me, centrally located, and close to the interstate, the mall, and all the best restaurants that Yuma has to offer. There was a Wal-Mart in walking distance, a bike or running path, golf right down the street. It was nice having folks with roots in the community to give advice on what to do and what to see. The family was really nice, and went out of the way to make me feel welcome, but yet respected my privacy and personal space. If I ever return to Yuma I could never imagine staying any place else. Thanks to Tammy and family for making my stay more then I hoped for, and saving me a few bucks in the process. Truly a great value for what you get, but if your not a respectful person this type of arrangement isn't for you.

To whom it may concern:

I'm writing this because I just stayed in a great suite and couldn't believe how at home I felt. Tammy & Frank are warm people and I felt comfortable the minute I arrived. My husband and I couldn't find any vacancy at any of Yuma's hotels and by chance we found the Lewis' advertisement. What a God send! For only $400 per week (we stayed three weeks), we had twice as much room as the Best Western we stayed in on our last trip. My room was cleaned everyday. I definitely recommend this rental to anyone looking for more privacy and a better value for your vacation dollar.
