Description from owner

This is a sweet little house that is 150 feet from the lake, and a real deal!!! This house has a living room with cable TV, dinning area, full kitchen, two bedrooms on the first floor and a loft that with twin beds that sleeps three (more if you want to bring your sleeping bags and air mattress). A good size bathroom with a large shower stall, and heat in case there is a cool evening. A nice deck gives you an over view of the lake, and a pretty front yard area for cooking on the gas grill and eating at the picnic table. The lake is a short walk to your own dock, where you can tie up your boat, swim or fish from. There are no neighbors to either side of this property and the dead end road is very quiet. Great place for kids to ride bikes, take long walks, or simply enjoy the quiet.

“Very Satisfied”

My husband and I rented this house for his family while they visited for our wedding from North Carolina. We wanted them to have a real Maine experience, nothing like a hotel. They stayed in a hotel the first couple days they were up here until their rental day came for here. They said they loved it here. I know staying at the cabin really added to it. When they went back down south, they kept talking about how much they loved it up here and how they loved to hear the animals at night from the cabin and how dark everything was so they could see the stars. This place is a really great place to rent if you want that woodsy Maine experience, with a short walk across the dirt road to a beautiful clean lake. The people we rented it from were very friendly also. I would definitely recommend it!

The camp was cozy and the parking was good. Sue was EXCELLENT to deal with. It was a little workout getting to the lake but a beautiful area and everyone was very friendly.

“Great little cottage in the woods!”

I love the older classic Maine cottages. This cottage has all the modern amenities while still maintaining the ambiance of the classic Maine camp. We had a major heat wave this week but the cottage stayed fairly cool with a nice breeze due to being tucked up on a hill under the pines. My nephew from California with his wife and 3 teenagers stayed the week. The girls had never swam in a lake before! - though by the end of the week they were tubing behind our boat. Deeper water dock allows you to bring your boat right up to the dock and tie up. Property is large, lots of grassy area for little ones to run around. The dirt road is quiet with little traffic. The girls loved the gorgeous sunsets with an expansive view from the front deck overlooking the lake. They also enjoyed the fireworks heard 'round the lake. (We thought they were gunshots! they said - I assured them they would not hear gunshots here.) Fireflies were abundant too - another hit with the girls. They saw loons for the first time, and heard their daily cries at night across the lake. The owners of this cottage are wonderful people who aim to please and can be easily reached if needed. The cottage is a wonderful deal for the price; this California family had a wonderful time - the girls hated leaving Maine and can't wait to return!

Neat and clean, more a house than a camp. Nice modern kitchen, with plenty of outdoor space. Across a camp road, down a series of steps, a lot of steps, to a roomy dock and clean lake water, incredible sunset views. Nice deck, grill and chairs available. Friendly owners made the rental easy. Would stay there again. We rented this as a place for our extended family to stay when the sleep space was filled at our camp on the same lake.

“Wilson Lake Cabin Rental”

Very efficient sweet cabin. Comfortable & has all needs provided in kitchen. We brought our food, bedding & towels and were very comfortable. Walk down to waterfront was direct & lake was so refreshing on hot days. Our grandboys had a wonderful time jumping in and swimming! We were very fortunate that the horses which arrived for a few days stay right next to the camp, did not bother my daughter's allergies as the wind was blowing the "right" way. That could have been a problem, but was not. Pet & some mildew smell in the cabin were taken care of by carpet baking soda deodorizer. Those smells can trigger allergic reactions as well, but none bothered her. Cabin stayed nice and cool on hot days under the shade of the pines and good insulation in roof. Owners checked in with us and showed us how to work the heater, which really was not needed that week. Nice to chat with them. Neighbors were quiet and lake activity was not noisy which just added to the serenity of the week. Loons were lovely to hear at night. We look forward to another stay at Wilson Lake next year!

My family really enjoyed our stay here. The cabin was great and had everything that we needed for a great vacation. The cabin was very nice and clean, the deck was great for grilling and relaxing and the lake was beautiful. The owners are very nice and friendly. There is a beautiful overlook of the lake from the deck. We look forward to vacationing there again.
