It is excellent and my home away from home. The sunsets are beautiful and the home is well furnished and amazing summer home. The owners are kind and if you have a problem they are on top of it.
“Paradise on Wilson Lake!”
My wife and I have been renting camps for nearly 20 years in the same area as the Michaud's, including several right here on Wilson Lake. This charming cottage has all the necessary incidentals to make your vacation both fun and relaxing! The camp is literally 8 feet from the waters edge and you can expect the most beautiful sunsets most nights as it faces due west. We highly recommend the Michaud's little piece of heaven here on Wilson Lake for your family's vacation plans! Thanks Dave LaPointe Tracy Thompson
Owner's reply: Thank you Dave and Tracy! We are thrilled that you enjoyed your stay and were happy with our cottage. We equip the place to make your vacation as easy as possible. We agree with you that the sunsets are glorious. You're always welcome back. Thank you for taking good care of our home. Susan & Dan
We just returned from a two week stay. We had our grandson and granddaughter. We could not have had a better time. The kids both caught a white perch which we returned to the lake for future fishermen. The sunsets were numerous and absolutely beautiful. The neighbors were very nice and our grandson was invited to a game of "washers." The only regret we have is that we did not rent the camp for more weeks. A beautiful spot and wonderful owners make for a perfect vacation!
Owner's reply: Dear Pam & Dane, We're so glad you enjoyed your stay! Your grandchildren must've been so excited to catch those fish! We appreciate the nice review. I'm so glad that we were able to meet you in person prior to your stay. Also glad you had mostly nice weather and were able to enjoy those sunsets. They are my favorite!!!! You're always welcome back. Dan & Susan
“Perfect lake camp”
Turning down the pine needle road we found the camp just right for us. Walking out the car and to the porch you see the direct access to Wilson Lake which is clean and peaceful. The owners have made sure that there is everything there to have a fun, relaxing, and stress-free vacation, even if there is a rainy day or two. We especially enjoyed the stargazing as we were lucky enough to be there when there was a meteor shower, and sure enough, there were throw blankets to keep us warm on the pier. A perfect place to wind away the stresses of work. Enjoy. And great big thanks to the Susan and her family for sharing.
Owner's reply: To the Belabbes Family, We are so happy that you had an enjoyable and restful stay! Thank you for taking good care of our place & thank you for the nice review. You're always welcome back. Susan & Dan Michaud, Owners
We just loved our stay. The cottage is situated perfectly to catch a reliable breeze across the cooling water of the lake. Plenty of places to enjoy the view and the breeze: the screened porch with views of the whole lake, the deck, or the dock. The steps going down to a sandy lake bed would be perfect for young children. The lake was delightfully quiet during the week and we enjoyed calls and activities of the loons. I echo another comment - this has got to be the best equipped camp or cottage we have ever stayed in. There is great attention to the detail of what a temporary resident will need and that made us feel like welcome guests. We especially appreciated the air conditioning because there were a few days that got hot in the late afternoon. The local restaurants serve really good specialty food: either clams, ribs & wings and American family restaurant food. Trips to Ted's for ice cream became an early evening ritual.Big Daddy's restaurant and Nascar bar is a hoot. It was an easy ride into Portland or Kittery, each a little over 1 hour. Thanks to the Michaud family for sharing their sanctuary with us. The Smiths
“Wilson Lake Cottage”
Great cottage with beautiful location right on Wilson Lake. Kids loved swimming and fishing right off the dock. Also within drivikng distance to other attractions (seacoast, shopping, etc.,) in Maine and New Hampshire. We had a great time.

A Great find! August 14th, 2009
By Eva Badway
We lucked out with this one! The cottage is at the end of a private road with only a few other cottages. We had abundant sunshine and enjoyed swimming, fishing and kayaking. The lake water is very clean and the lake is not a touristy spot like Mousam, so it was very relaxing to sit on the dock and enjoy the beautiful weather. We enjoyed walks down the quiet streets and campfires in the evening. The cottage was comfortable and cozy. It had everything we needed, a comfortable king size bed in one room, bunk beds plus a twin in the second bedroom, a full size futon bed in the living room. The best part was the evening sunsets! Glorious! We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this cottage.
