Description of the Alameda vacation apartment rental
This is a very charming, beautifully furnished, immaculate and sunny Flat with gorgeous windows in a two-story home (Flat), which dead ends one house off the lagoon. It is in a very quiet neighborhood where you can sleep very peacefully. Parking in driveway is free for (1) automobile. Two cars $4.00/day. Flat is 1200 sq. ft. Owner lives downstairs for any immediate needs. Home is one of the historic homes here in Alameda, built in 1896 with so much uniqueness and beauty that went into building such a home.

There are two large bedrooms, both with pillow top Queen Mattresses. One bedroom rented as a single or two guests n one bedroom at the standard rate of $165 per night and $185 on Friday and Saturday nights. If the second bedroom is used there is an additional fee of $25 per person per night. Cleaning fee is $125. There is a twin mattress that can be used, if needed,, Also a small bed for an infant up to 2 years old.
The white "Romantic Room" has a mini office space off of a walk-in closet with a panoramic view of the lagoon. The dining room and living room are combined and adjacent to a newly renovated small kitchen that is fully equipped for preparing meals with a gas stove, microwave, etc. Also a peek of the lagoon and also a view of a gigantic beautifully landscaped backyard that is paradise as one guest coined it as. There are beautiful original hardwood floors throughout. Plenty of closet space. The bathroom has also been completely renovated with new slate flooring, bowl sink, European shower door with new bath tub, tiled and equipped linen closet and separate water closet for toilet. Gorgeous diamond pane windows with wood blinds throughout. Forced air heating and a cooling system for summer months. and ceiling fans in most rooms.

What makes this Flat so desirable is the privacy you can have, if there are more than two guests. The two bedrooms allow that and also the small office area off the "Romantic Room" for a quiet place to do work as it has a door that closes and a great view of the lagoon. Every one can have a place of privacy to read, take a nap, watch their own TV, have a private telephone conversation, etc. Also, you can access Netflix for movies in the Living Room television which has a DVD built in. WiFi is provided. Guests have loved the uniqueness of design and comfort, both indoors and outdoors on the deck or sitting in an antique slider enjoying the sunshine with a cup of coffee or wine and appetizers or even a meal with a grill for your use and table and chairs. Also, you have access to a washer and dryer downstairs in the laundry room for $5.00 a load for washer and dryer and detergent is available for your laundry needs.

A walk to the beach in the morning or evening to view the skyline of San Francisco and the evenings' gorgeous sunsets makes this island a special place to stay in a vacation home rather than a hotel. You have everything that you would have at home. Within a few blocks there is bus transportation and a short walk to a busy downtown shopping area where there are a variety of many types of cuisine on Park Street. Also, a multi-plex historic Theater that has been carefully renovated. Two Ferry locations to take you acros the Bay to the Embarcadero in San Francisco. Bus nearby to take you straight to BART where you get to San Francisco in twenty minutes. There is quick, easy access to all major freeways 20 minutes from UC Berkeley Campus and many excellent restaurant on College Ave. and Telegraph Ave, and nearby Jack London Squarewithin a short distance from Alameda to Oakland or Berkeley.

Area Information
Alameda is surrounded by The San Francisco Bay, and the Estuary with four draw bridges to enter the island and the Posey Tube on the West End.

On the SF Bay here in Alameda the beach area offers Paddle Boat, Kite Surfing, Wind Surfing lessons, also for children, it is a wonderful place to come and enjoy a family getaway for building sand castles or just playing in the water at water's edge. In the evenings, the sunsets are stunning.

There is the Oakland Museum only 10 minutes away with the first Sunday of the month free admission. There are many live venues for Jazz, Yoshi's being the most premier in Jack London Square. Alameda has their own Alterena live plays in the round where locals have the opportunity to perform. Also, many Farmer's Markets in downtown Oakland, Jack London Square and here in Alameda. The Oakland Hills have plenty of trails to hike, and of course there is the Wine Country and Muir Woods.
