Description of the Alligator Point vacation home rental
Heavenly Sunrise is a 4 bedroom, 3 bath beachfront home with ocean views from every room in the house except the three bathrooms. This home is a comfortable 1800 square feet with approximately 1000 feet of uncovered, covered and screened decks with unobstructed views of the Gulf of Mexico.

The home is comfortably furnished with a large family or group in mind. The top floor boasts a million dollar view of the sugar white beaches and Gulf of Mexico from the master suite, living room, dining room, kitchen, screened porch and uncovered sun deck. The kitchen is fully stocked with flat cook top stove with convection oven, large microwave, plenty of cookware and serving ware to serve many.

Most common small kitchen appliances are provided for your convenience. The first floor has three additional bedrooms, each with a covered deck and million dollar view of the Gulf along with two additional baths and the laundry room.

Heavenly Sunrise faces north-east for the most incredible sunrise views imaginable. Built in 2004, this home was constructed to the most stringent Florida Coastal Construction Zone building standards. The home was designed to provide breath-taking views and deck access from every bedroom and common area. Decks were designed for sun-lovers, shade-lovers and those that tend to attract the attention of biting insects common to Florida beaches i.e. no-see-ums or mosquitoes.

If you are looking for an un-crowded paradise for your family or friends, Heavenly Sunrise will more than deliver. If you dream of a Florida vacation on unspoiled beaches, without all of the tourists, tourist traps, traffic, and drunken crowds; Heavenly Sunrise will accommodate those dreams. If you imagine private midnight strolls or early morning jogs along the Gulf of Mexico, or the sounds of the waves crashing while the whippoorwills chant to wake you to your own private daily viewing of the Almighty’s splendor… Heavenly Sunrise is sure to please!
Area Information
Privacy, privacy, privacy! As a native Floridian, I am not fond of crowded tourist traps. This location is incredibly private. Most days you will have the entire beach to yourself! You can watch your kids play on the beach without fear of traffic, bad influences or strangers. During low tide, even the smallest children can play in knee deep water on one of the many sand bars. Because this is a low-impact beach; overpowering waves and undercurrents are rare. The sand dollars, starfish, coral and sponge and seashells are abundant.

This is the 'Forgotten Coast.' Home of the last 'Real Florida' beaches. The area was protected by State and Federal Parks, Forests, and Wildlife Refuges many years ago, so it remains natural and pristine. The locals still fish for a living, and development was never allowed to run rampant. It is one of the few beaches in Florida where you can still find shells, sand dollars, starfish, coral and other sea life. The porpoises play along the shore with no fear of careless boaters, jet skis, and throngs of tourists. The pelicans and herons fish the shallow surf, as you watch in awe. The beach remains very much like the photographs from 65 years ago, when my grandfather owned a home on Alligator Point. To this day, his home still stands. No condos, or chain hotels or souvenir shops have taken its place. It's a trip back in time to 'the real Florida!'
Attractions within Walking Distance
Award-winning Bald Point State Park with fishing pier, wildlife viewing boardwalk over salt marsh.
Nearby Restaurants
Alligator Point Tiki Bar and Grill, Angelo and Son's, Tropical Shrimp Trader, Posey's Steam Room, Mad Anthony's. Also you can pick up the fresh catch of the day and bring it home to cook at My Way Seafood.
Closest airport is Tallahassee, FL - 35 miles away.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Sleeping Arrangements - what are they and how does the house sleep 12?
A: Bedroom 1 - Upstairs Master - Queen Bed - Million $ view from the bed!
Bedroom 2 - Full size bed - with private bath and million $ view from the bed!
Bedroom 3 - Queen size bed - with Jack and Jill bath and million $ view from the bed!
Bedroom 4 - Kid's room- full sized futon bed/ twin bed bunk bed
Extra Large Sofa that sleeps 1 (not a hide-a-bed) with sheets and comforter
2 - 4 inch mats for kids to sleep on floor with sheets and comforter
1 - Pack and Play
Our goal is to sleep 1 or 2 large families - not 6 adult couples!
Q: Is the house beach front? How many steps to the beach?
A: Yes, there is an unobstructed view of the beach. It is about 50-70 steps to the beach from the driveway.
Q: Why is it called Alligator Point? Are there alligators?
A: Alligator Point was named that because from an aerial view - the beach looks like an alligator tail. Alligators are not fond of salt-water, however there are brackish water marshes on the backside of Alligator Point and in the State Park. There are alligators all over Florida so always exhibit caution if you leave the beach to explore other areas of Florida.
Q: Do you allow pets?
A: Unfortunately, we do not allow pets. We love cats and dogs. We have cats and dogs! We made the decision to provide a pet dander free home for everyone. Please do not ask us to make exceptions.
Q: What is the beach like? How is it different from Panama City?
A: Our beach is very unique in that it is like the "last Old Florida beach!" Our beach is a low-impact, natural beach! There is no dredged sand pumped in or tractors dragging the beach to remove all native vegetation. You can actually find sand dollars, star-fish, coral and other sea-life on the beach. Low-impact means that there are rarely huge crashing waves and violent undercurrents (except during storms!) During low tide there are layers or sand bars and tidal pools for smaller children to splash in safely! There are only 46 homes on the Bald Point side of Alligator Point. The beaches are very quiet and uncrowded! The fishing is some of the best in Florida from the shore. Catch Spanish Mackerel, Whiting, Red fish and more. Take a charter out from Panacea for Grouper, King fish, Cobia, Wahoo and lots more. Blue crab are abundant in this area...and delicious if you set out traps for them!
Panama City Beach is on the Emerald Coast. The green water is from the green algae particles suspended in the water. That algae does not grow in our area. The water is typically blue unless it is unusually turbulent from local flooding or storms.
