Reviews for this vacation home rental in Alligator Point, Florida
Cincinnati, OH USA

Everyone in our party (7 friends) had a wonderful experience at the Blue Marlin in Alligator Point. As advertised, it is indeed a secluded retreat with a beautiful second row view. So if you are looking for a quite place with a beach to yourselves, this is certainly it. There are abundant crabs for the catching on property, a couple marinas in driving distance, a state park with hiking trails in walking distance, and a few hometown restaurants located in the nearby small town with great food. Just a word to the wise; we recommend you bring tools for dinning on any crab you may catch and plenty of bug repellent if you venture out of the lovely screen porch after dusk - the biting flies and bugs are very bad at that point.
So glad you made some wonderful memories at The Blue Marlin. I had built the house to sell it, however, I didn't finish until 2008, and at that time it would not sell due to the economy. Looking back I am happy the house didn't sell, as I love renting it, and helping folks make life memories there. Thanks for your review. Gary

This was our second vacation at The Blue Marlin an just like before it didn't disappoint. We love coming to Alligator Point it is so quiet and peaceful here. This time we brought family with us and they loved the beach here, the great shells and coral found turning low tide. This trip we saw horseshoe crabs on beach , starfish , and great fishing on the beach. Wonderful place to relax and enjoy the beach without the big crowds.

My daughter, granddaughter , our little Yorkies and I rented this house in September 2013. It was so quiet and peaceful. We loved walking the beach with our fur babies and finding beautiful shells.. We saw five to ten people the whole week. The screened in porch was our favorite place. We also found some great local places to eat. We hope to stay again.

Three Days in Paradise-The Blue Marlin

My husband and I both work demanding jobs where it is difficult to take off time from work. This place, the Blue Marlin, is only an hour's drive from home but is a world away in terms of relaxation. The owner Gary was very helpful in providing excellent pre-trip information as per location, maps, and lists of amenities in the home. We arrived late at night and found the house easily right off the state park road. Upon entering the home, all I can say is...WOW. Beautiful hardwood floors throughout the entire place, comfortable furniture, well equipped kitchen...and very clean. My husband enjoyed the big screen TV and relaxing on the huge sofa. I enjoyed lounging on the deck overlooking the Gulf. We thoroughly relaxed for three days and wished we could have stayed longer. Alligator Point is a fairly secluded area and the beach is all yours to enjoy with plenty of privacy. All you really need to bring with you is your own food and drink...everything else is there for your comfort and use. The beds are very comfortable, the linens are top of the line. I really enjoyed the twin showers in the master bath. I will most definitely be a repeat visitor at the Blue Marlin. Thank you Gary.
