Riverfront Cabin -3 bedroom
Don't worry about modern day electronic distractions as we are off the grid for both cellular and internet. However we do have a large wide-screen TV with about 20 channels for your viewing pleasure.
The house has three bedrooms and one bath. The master bedroom is located downstairs and there are two additional bedrooms upstairs. Our kitchen is well stocked with accessories and features a barstool counter space as well as a dining table. There is a great room with a wide -screen TV that opens up to a very comfortable and relaxing front porch with a view of the river and surrounding mountains. Our front yard is riverfront and large enough for a volleyball court or other activity.

Peace and Beauty
July 14, 2014
My family and I would like to say thank you again for letting us enjoy your home on the river. It is so peaceful and beautiful there. For many years I have been enjoying the beauty of the river during the summer and I plan to continue vacationing there for many years to come. We enjoy the many hours spent with family and friends as well as the many hours spent relaxing by the river. My son and I walked to the waterfall this year and I must say it is well worth the hike up the mountain. We would like to thank you for allowing us to stay in your home. Thanks again, Lori

It's always nice to get back to the valley. The house is very comfortable and accommodating. It has everything you need for a laid back trip. The outdoor space is great. In addition to catching trout in the Dan you have a wonderful area along the river bank to kick back and have a nice fire in the evening and grill your dinner.
Excellent place to get away!

This was a perfect place to get away and relax. We loved the cabin and the view was spectacular. Great hiking, caverns, Civil War historical sites and wineries are all nearby. We will definitely be coming back.
home with character nestled between mountains
August 24, 2013
the house smelled a bit musty when we arrived so we the first thing we did was to open the windows. my husband and i liked the updated kitchen that allowed us to prepare meals and clean up with ease. The view of the mountains and river was spectacular.
Meaningless, polite, supportive review title

We enjoyed our stay (3 nights). It was the weekend everyone comes to the valley for the float down the river, so there was lots of traffic on the road, but that also meant a lot of people for our little girls to wave at . The owner was friendly and extremely low key about things. Our only issue were bug bites from some invisible, presumably flying, assailants. We did spend a lot of time on the porch... maybe next time we will bring some insect repellent.

Quiet, Peaceful Place to Stay
July 21, 2013
Beautiful old home in a peaceful setting with great views and large front yard right on the Dan River. The owner Steve couldn't be any more helpful or friendly. The home is in a serene, private area but is within easy driving distance of a number of small towns and attractions - Mt. Airy, NC and the Mabry Mill in the Blue Ridge Parkway are must-sees. Only negative during our stay was the unusually strong river current due to some heavy rainfall in early July. Highly recommended.

Can't wait to come back to Kibler Valley.
February 13, 2013
Thanks Steve for opening up your home to us. Kibler Valley is a beautiful area. It couldn't have been any better for our group. Our son's youth band came through Stuart Va., (10 miles) on Friday and performed in downtown Mount Airy, N.C (13miles) on Saturday. Then our family couldn't wait to get back to the house to fix supper for everyone to join in good food, fun and fellowship along with a great old time and bluegrass jam. Your kitchen had everything we needed. Sleeping arrangements were perfect for our group. 1 bathroom didn't cause any problems with everyone having to get up at the same time to make the live radio show. We look forward to returning in the warm weather so we can enjoy time by the Dan River for tubing, fishing and cooking out. Your big field will be perfect for a little tag football game too. Best part of weekend was when one of the band members walked in and saw a piece of Seagrove Pottery that his Grandmother Teague had made. We knew we were in the right place for a great weekend. OLDGRASS will be back!
