Area Information
Backroad setting for hiking, biking, and walking; Five minutes away tubing, swimming and canoeing on the famous fly fishing Battenkyll River. Orvis uses this location for flyfishing instruction and also canoe rental pickups. Enroute to this site you pass Norman Rockwell's former home and horse farm. Local restaurants down the road: West Mountain Inn and Arlington Inn and Jonathon's table, library and food and gas. Twenty minutes north on Rte 7 is Sunderland for canoe rentals and Manchester dining and Outlets.
