We spent 5 days at this cabin, it is cozy and small but has all you need to have a wonderful time. Outdoor space is great for the kids.

“Memorable Week !”

There were lots of snow on the ground and our kids loved it! Kids were sledding out on the street which was very fun. We've truly enjoyed our stay!

“Blue Lake Springs Cabin”

This cabin was AWESOME! Superclean and comfortable! 4 bedrooms, sleeps 13!. Lots of movies to watch, games and books, beautiful kitchen with everything you need, nice linens. Wonderful area with huge trees and a huge deck with table and chairs to relax on. Wish we could have stayed longer! We will definitely be back. This is the place to be! Right up the road from Snowflake Lodge with pool, basketball court, tennis court, lake, Saturday night outdoor movies. The kids, well, we ALL had a blast!! Can't go wrong! Reserve this place, it's totally worth it!

“Our writer's retreat in the hills”

Reviewed 2 May 2012

The "cabin" was perfect in nearly every way. It was quite large but still felt cozy. From the very well appoionted kitchen with an island to work on and every utensil right on through to the upstairs it was wonderful. We had exactly 13 women and they all could sleep comfortably. The living room with its cozy fireplace was charming...in fact the decor of the entire home was lovely and in tune with the idea of a home in a woodsy area. We brought in two benches from the outside table and that made it possible for all of us to sit at the table together for meals. The deck is ample to have small conversation groups in different places, and we all expecially loved the the redwood tree that grew up through a circular opening in the deck around the trunk. We could see other houses nearby but they were spaced so that they were not too close to our house and on different levels on the hill. The weekend was wonderful and enjoyable because of what were doing but aoso because of the home and all it offered. We ended the visit on sunday having praise and worship on the deck. Everyone felt the same way about it and asked me to fo there again for the Retreat next year. Thank s to the owners for sharing thwir lovely vacation home with us.

“Great Family Experience!”

Reviewed 15 Dec 2011

My family and I had an awesome time. The cabin was clean, kitchen was stocked, family games and movies. It was just great, cant wait to go back, but this time in the summer and not just for the weekend, and go swimming in the lakes.

“Great House, Well-Equipped Kitchen, Lots of beds”

Reviewed 15 Feb 2011

We had a great weekend. Fit 9 around the table and had plenty of room to lounge. Bear Valley was friendly and we got there in about 30 minutes. Snow was sparse in Arnold but there was still plenty in Bear Vally on Feb. 12 weekend. Loved it.

“Fabulous Family Vacation”

Reviewed 25 Dec 2010

We hit a home run with this cabin rental. I was a little concerned about Arnold being on the snow line, because my wife and kids really wanted a white Christmas. It rained during the whole drive up, but we awoke to a fresh blanket of snow our first morning. That pretty much set the pace for an amazing visit. The owners care very much about this property and want to make sure visitors are well cared for. All the details were covered, many more than we even considered. My wife loved the remodeled kitchen with professional grade cookware and quality dishes. The gas fireplace heats up the place nicely and was a real plus (not to mention the central heat too). The entire downstairs has the look and feel of a log cabin with pine board walls. We were pleasantly surprised with the decor and theme in each of the 4 rooms, three of which have multiple single and bunk beds. Our kids had so many toys and movies to choose from (already provided), there was no room for boredom for sure. Outside, the big deck and large front area offered plenty of fun and exploration opportunities for our young boys. Never a dull moment. Very glad we chose this cabin and highly recommend it to others.

“Amazing Place and a great value!”

Reviewed 13 Dec 2010

Place is lovely and we enjoyed it a lot. It has lots of toys to keep all age groups entertained! Kids had a lot of fun on the deck - we had snow ball fights and made snow sculptures, while a few folks went skiing. Its location is perfect and the property is really well kept. Would like to visit again!

Owner Supplied Testimonials

"Just wanted to say thank you for such a great cabin! You had everything we could have asked for! My two young boys were thrilled with the incredible selection of toys and movies and I was thrilled with how well-equipped the kitchen and everything else were! We were able to cook a full Thanksgiving dinner for the four of us and whenever we went out for a walk, our sons kept wanting to go back to the cabin instead of explore the forest, etc.-- definitely a first! Thanks again for helping to make our Thanksgiving weekend special!" Stacey M. -San Jose, CA

"The cabin was warm and cozy and our whole group had a fantastic time staying there. You had books, videos and games to keep kids of all ages occupied. The boys spent hours playing with the legos instead of their Video games. We had a large group and the kitchen was well furnished with plates, bowls, cups etc for all of us. The comforts of your cabin urged us all to stay at your cabin longer but unfortunately we had to come back after 4 wonderful days. Thanks again for sharing the cabin with us and making our Christmas vacation memorable." Jess -San Jose, CA

"We had a wonderful, fun weekend with beautiful weather. Your cabin was perfect. Thank you." Oakland, CA

"We had a great time this weekend. The cabin was very nice. Once again thank you. " Joe A. -Pleasanton, CA

I just wanted to let you know that everything went smoothly this weekend. We really enjoyed your place! Having rented several homes in Blue Lake Springs over the years, we thought yours was the nicest we have found. Thanks! Holly N, Lafayette, CA
