“Great big comfy cabin”

Reviewed 8 Nov 2016

We went Nov 3-7, 2016 for a conference that was in town. 16 people stayed in cabin and we felt it was spacious enough that we were not on top of each other. Everything you needed was included and there. The views were spectacular and it was so serene up in the cabin.

“Great Stay!”

Reviewed 3 Nov 2016

This property was perfect for our group of 10! Everybody had plenty of space to spread out and not feel as though we were on top of each other. Plenty of kitchen and fridge space, towels and linens provided, huge porch with a great view! The drive up to the house was quite steep in some places so when snow is in play it could be a little tricky. Once you get to the house there is plenty of parking for multiple vehicles. Everything about the check-in and check-out process was very smooth and easy to execute. Would definitely recommend particularly to larger parties!

“Family reunion”

Reviewed 20 Apr 2016

There are nine siblings ranging from 59 to 75 years old. Although we often visit with on another, we had not, all nine of us at once, been together for over 16 years. Day one was just for the nine of us; days two and three it was opened to spouses, children and grand children. Everyone of us agree it was the perfect house and setting. We are planning a follow-up down the road

“Christmas Vac”

Reviewed 7 Jan 2016

Staying at the cabin in the Ridgewood mountains was like a scene from a movie. The cabin was so beautiful and well equipped. Even a toothpick was available. All cooking utensils and amenities were easily available. The cabin was well kept and spacing was enormous for all sixteen of us. We felt safe and the locals in the areas were very warm and friendly. The morning view from the balcony and bedroom was breathtaking. Did I mention that the weather was so beautiful. The kids played outdoors something that they don't get the opportunity to do on a regularly basis. The look and smell of fresh mud was all over their bodies. My two girlfriends and I took daily walks as we explore the beautiful surroundings. It's was not a vacation unless we visited the mall about three miles away. We were able to get some good deals and visited stores we didn't have in New York. This was the best Christmas I had since my father passed away eight years ago. Will I do this again? Of course! My fifteen year son said that the long drive was all worth it.

“Secluded Weekend Vacation From Atlanta”

Reviewed 30 Jun 2015

This was a beautiful property with everything you could have asked for in a house! My group consisted of life-long friends that wanted to get out of Atlanta for a weekend and this location was perfect. We were able to get to Asheville and Baltimore Estates with a short drive. The owner, Beth, was wonderful to work with and assisted with every request I had. I will definitely revisit this location when back in Asheville.

“the perfect mountain retreat”

Reviewed 10 Jun 2015

This property is the perfect mountain treat, exactly what we needed and is well represented in the listing. We had three families for a total of ten people and a dog and the house is perfectly laid out for that sort of arrangement. The three floors give good "separation" to the family units but there is plenty of common space for people to come together. The house is clean, well appointed and the check-in/check-out procedure is easy and well documented. Be aware that this is a "mountain" retreat so the last 1-2 miles of the drive are straight up and a bit challenging but don't be intimidated. The house is still conveniently located to everything you need including the city of Ashville and we'll definitely be going back.

“A Wonderful Mountain Experience”

Reviewed 9 Jun 2015

We attended a family wedding and enjoyed feeling right at home at Four Lions. The home is lovely, clean, and offered beautiful views from every direction; whether a manicured garden, expansive lawn or lush mountains. We had everything we needed...fully equipped kitchen, WIFI, games, plenty of towels and linens. It was a wonderful experience and we will definitely be back! Thanks!

“Avondale, Ashville, NC”

Reviewed 20 Aug 2014

Overall I had a great time and all was well. The only issue that I had was that the Sauna wouldn't get hot. Other than that, I really enjoyed the rental and wouldn't have a problem going back to this property for another vacation.

“Wonderful Mountain Get Away”

Reviewed 14 Jun 2014

Our cabin made our trip perfect! The home had everything we needed to make our stay great. The kitchen had adequate cook and dining ware for all of our guests. The porches and hot tub are an added bonus that created unbelievable memories (and photos!) We were minutes away from downtown Asheville and fun tubing adventures. I would absolutely recommend this great cabin to anyone!

“Great House for Big Groups”

Reviewed 26 Feb 2014

We had a group of 10 adults and 3 babies. There was plenty of space for everyone. The drive up the mountain was a little hard in the dark but we all made it based on the directions they sent. The house was a great size. 6 bedrooms. Downstairs had a room with a king bed and bunk beds. The other room had a queen and a twin. The middle floor had 2 rooms each with a Queen. Upstairs was the bunk bed room and a large room with a King. There was a bathroom in the middle to share. There's also a futon up there in the family room. The kids slept on the lower floors and we were able to be on the 3rd floor without waking them up. Great views. Tons of space. The kitchen had everything we needed. We made a fire one morning. Very convenient to Asheville . We also went to a cheese farm (Looking Glass Creamer) near the house that was neat. This place would be great for a big family gathering or groups of couples/small families.

Owner's reply: I agree, this is a great family reunion house. We ourselves have had several gatherings with our families at this property. Winter views are especially good. Glad you enjoyed your visit to Asheville and to Avondale Ridge, and thanks so much for taking the time to write a review.
