Reviews for this vacation home rental in Asheville, North Carolina

We had 12 in our family so it was wonderful to have such a big house. Everyone had their own room and that made it really nice. It was also nice to have linens and towels provided. The rec room was a favorite with everyone. And the view was absolutely beautiful. I fell in love with the sunrise room! You also get to see a lot of "critters" which was fun for my grandchildren. Patricia was very responsive and easy to work with. Our family had a very nice time.

Great Mountain Getaway

The house was just as described.Everything we needed was there-lots of towels, dishes, silverware, pots and pans, HUGE kitchen, ect. The 5 bedrooms were large and beds very comfortable. The whole house is very spacious with fantastic views looking down the valley. The property is gorgeous, spacious, beautiful and Wi-Fi ready with a large TV. The surroundings cascade of trees and hills is aesthetic and healing. If you are looking for a secluded house this what you are looking for. The drive to Asheville is about 20 minutes. I would recommend staying at this vacation home.
Great home, Great hostess

Upon our arrival we were greeted by Kathy and she took us through the property and then over the next 6 days attended to our every need with panache. Not to mention the local beer and delicious chocolate that also awaited us! The home is roomy, airy and lovely with it unique art pieces presented throughout. It provided our group of 9 with plenty of space to sleep, play and eat together. We also organized uproarious ping pong tournaments. The outdoors is just as spacious and we were able to relax in the hammock, hanging chair, the gazebo, as well as play in the yard. The location is second to none with downtown Asheville being around the corner and the Blue Ridge close by as well. We recommend this property and we had a great time. Thanks for everything Kathy.

My husband and I rented the house for my 70th birthday. Joining us were our four adult children, their spouses and 10 grandchildren. The house is huge and accommodated our large group easily. Each adult couple had a bedroom and the children brought sleeping bags they put on the living room rug. The rental agen even purchased additional towels for us. Our family cooked a bountiful Thanksgiving dinner and loved the six burner gas range top and the double ovens. The grandchildren played for hours in the rec room. We also enjoyed that the land is terraced with a large yard for family baseball games. The heating system kept us toasty even with the snow we had. The two gas fireplaces wer kept going most of the time, more for ambience. With this many people I worried about enough hot water. There was plenty of hot water because of TWO 75 gallon hot water heaters. We had the most amazing time and the amenities of the house made it even better.
Never heard back

Emailed asking for rates for Thanksgiving stay and never got a response.
"Excellent for a guys gathering!"
This rental did not dissapoint. It was the destination for our annual guy gathering and asheville, NC was a mutual meeting point. Patricia helped line us up for our vacation and was easy to deal with! We arrived hours early before check in and she was finishing up cleaning and had no problem letting us in early. Patricia even was thoughtful enough to give us suggestions for entertainment throughout our stay. The house was more than spacious enough to accommodate our group of 6 - we all had a bed, large (nice!) kitchen was big enough to hold all of the chefs, big living area with comfortable seating and tv, rec room was a surprisingly nice addition to the vacation, the mountain views were spectacular, and the backyard was more than perfect to enjoy the nice days in NC.
The rental was nicely located away from noise but conveniently close to grocery, gas, and other random needs during the stay. A 15-20 min drive to asheville and we were right in the midst of it all. We were also less than an hour away from enjoying Chimney Rock and white river rafting on the French Broad River.
The only dissapoint don't we had was that we were unable to get any of the "typical" tv stations with the cable set...this is almost irrelevant as most time was spent not watching tv.
This touch the sky rental will not Disappoint!
Thanks Patricia for helping us continue to make this annual event a great one !
This house is perfect for entertaining any group. The layout is excellent, with plenty of room to spread out. The house has one incredible view out of the backdoor and a nice flat yard to enjoy any activities with your friends or family. You will also find that the house is located at a very manageable distance from asheville and other popular places to visit in comparison to most other rental properties with this good of a view. Patricia (the property manager) is a breeze to work with as well! I would surely book again.
This home was just lovely. My family and I rented this house for Christmas and felt right at home. We loved being away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to still enjoy asheville. My family loved the space. The kitchen is huge and perfect for a family that likes to cook together. The living area was cozy and comfortable with beautiful views. Also - ths place is pet friendly! We were impressed by the home, the management, and the countryside. We hope to get back soon!
Touch the Sky is an incredible property in a great location with
My wife and I recently stayed at this property and absolutely loved it. We are excited about returning with a group, since the house can sleep and entertain so many.
We were impressed with the personal attention from the property manager, Patricia. She was very helpful with directions and making sure we had everything we needed.
The house was clean and very well decorated. The kitchen was large and easy to use. The bed in the master slept wonderfully. We really enjoyed the thermostat controlled gas fireplace. We did not get to utilize the huge bar/game room space since it was just the two of us and we were there on a short weekend, but it too is amazing!
The views were fantastic. We were able to sit in front of the fire place with all of the inside and outside lights off and see shooting stars through the front window. You wake up to a beautiful sunrise in the morning because the master bedroom faces east.
The location is ideal as well. You can get into and out of asheville in about 20 minutes. There are nice grocery stores and a few convenience stores in between asheville and the property, so you are well prepared for a night in after a day of walking around and shopping.
Of course, relaxing in the whirlpool bathtub built for two in the master bathroom is also a really nice touch to the whole experience.
In conclusion, whether you're looking for a romantic getaway for two, or a trip for the whole family, Touch the Sky is what you're looking for!

This house is very specious with plenty of room for a large group. We were a group of 5 couples and everyone had their own room and the kitchen (which is where everyone gathers) was large enough for all of us to cook, clean, talk, etc. The view of the mountains are spectacular.
Beautiful mountain views and quiet natural surroundings. A vacation any family will treasure for life. Our stay was more than welcoming and the short distance to downtown asheville made it very convenient as well. Thanks Patricia and Pinnacle for helping us share these priceless moments
