“Christmas with Family!”
What a great Christmas we had at this cabin! Had everything we needed in the kitchen and plenty of bath towels. The hot tub was awesome! Just wish the 4th bedroom had a regular bed instead of bunks and the mattress on the downstairs sofa is shot. Would definitely recommend this cabin in the beautiful mountains!!
Maybe my favorite cabin! No visible neighbors (well one you could hardly see through trees)! Picturesque mountain view from the living room/back deck--crowded out somewhat by trees, but what could be better? Well, the views do get even more magnificent: just a couple miles up the dirt road from the cabin there's a relatively short hike of a shoot off of the Appalachian Trail that goes straight up to a look-out; 360* of rolling mountains all around! It was amazing. Any fitness level could do it! The cabin itself fit our needs perfectly; plenty of towels, small TV (so good thing we're not big on movies), internet, hot tub (takes almost a whole night to heat up!). The only disappointment was the time to drive to downtown Asheville (45-55min), but even that was ok because we decided to stay in at our lovely abode. It also would have been nice to have more seating in the living space (1 couch and 2 couch chairs), but it's fairly narrow so may not fit a lot more. Overall, probably my fav place!
“Smoky mountain gem!”
While this home is ~45 mins from Asheville, the stunning setting in a high end community is well worth the drive! Access to the Appalachian trail is 2 miles away, and an outdoor fire place and hot tub round out the adventure!
“So peaceful and beautiful”
We stayed for Labor Day weekend for my sisters bachelorette weekend and it was wonderful. Lovely view, beds and accomedations. Brea is amazing. She also does amazing facials!
Owner's reply: Thank you for taking the time to complete a survey. We truly appreciated it!! So happy you ladies had a great time!! Please visit again soon.
We had a big group of girls looking for a getaway trip. We had 11 girls and the cabin had plenty of room for all of us. We were looking for a private place that was close to downtown and this cabin was perfect! Frank was awesome and extremely helpful. He gave us the history rundown of his cabin, and could answer any questions we had about Asheville. We had a great experience, and have already talked about renting the place again! I definitely recommend this cabin!
House was amazing. Incredible view. Truck did get stuck in the ice and snow but it wasn't 4 wheel drive. Thermostat was difficult to figure out but all in all an amazing stay.
Owner's reply: Remy, thank you so much for taking the time to write a review. We are so happy you had a great time and always love sharing our home.
“Excellent house close to Asheville!”
A large group of us guys stayed here for a bachelors Golf weekend. The house was nicely equipped with enough space for all. The large tvs were great for Football and the space available and blow up mattresses accommodated many. The house was closer to Asheville than I thought and even better was very close to 12 Bones Bar B Q. Go there if you have the chance. Joan, the owner, was very pleasant and worked with us and was super helpful on location and things to do. The house was clean and nicely arranged. As mentioned by some, the driveway is steep, but there is parking off the street where you don't have to drive down the driveway. Nice house and good location. Recommended.
