Reviews for this vacation guesthouse rental in Athens, Central Greece, Greece

The pictures, as usual were very pretty and taken at the perfect angle. But when you finally reach the house,( the deteriorated cement stairway leading straight up) the entrance being right behind a large garbage dumpster, you look around you at the dirty windows and cracked walls and think..Oh my God...I have been had. After what seemed an eternity, a woman (not looking at all like her picture) answered the door. Telling us she had expected us in the morning. She hadn't read our emails well at all. She was in attire that resembled something a homeless woman might wear. However, we had paid in advance...so we were really stuck here. We expected a more class and a bigger bed room. (after I refused to stay in a hot house on the roof, where there was a beach umbrella and chairs there for our comfort! We had a puppy with us, and this place was supposed to be pet friendly. I was immediately told NOT to let the dog "go" in the garden! We were served cold coffee in huge cereal bowls in the morning, which was then boiled in the microwave to be heated up. The owner was a perennial smoker and place wreaked of stale smoke. This was a case of the owner looking through rose colored glasses and thinking her place was a castle, when in reality...it was a poor attempt at creating a "quaint" environment for visitors. She admitted to us that she made a small fortune when she decided to make her home into a bed and breakfast when the Olympics came to Greece. She's been taking advantage of the unsuspecting ever since. The area was quiet, I give it that...but that is really the only thing it or she had going for it.

Woah, watch out for this place. If you're OK with the owner sleeping on her couch in the living room, with another tenant sleeping in a futon in the living room, while you sleep on a mattress on the floor, then this is for you. Oh yeah, and she smoke, so the whole smelled musty. One small bathroom, so get used to sharing with EVERYBODY that lives there. We thought we were renting a house, but apparently just living in somebody elses, with them as well. The location was convenient, and she recommended a very good restaurant, but the praise stops there. Oh yeah, and the "upstairs" room requires you to climb stairs not safe for any humans to use, particularly children. If you want to hang any clothes in a closet, forget about it - since we were sleeping in her bedroom, the closet was naturally full of her clothes. No dressers to use, can't use the kitchen for yourself - very primitive anyways (bunsen burner to heat water for coffee!). You may pay more to stay in a hotel, but I recommend that option versus trying this place.
Those reviews are only lies
My house was old but very, very clean. I just had a 6 months renovation. And it is very beautiful. The house belongs to an artist and is exactly as descrided on my site. The photos are REAL!!
Those people made the wrong choice. They should have choosen an impersonal cold cheap hotel.
And my prices are very reasonable. A private house in the center with a large garden is unique.
I quited smoking.
Tere are @ large bathrooms.
It s clear on my site, that I share my home.
The matresses are not on the floor, but on low wooden bases.
All the furnitures are low, as shown on the photos on my site.
The stairs are totaly saffe.
The kitchen is shared as , again, mentionned on my site.
There are a coffee machine, a boiler, a microwave oven and an oven.
I cook with gaz..
I want toprecise that I am a very elegant lady.
Just not conventional.my husband is a French artist. All the walls are covered with his beautiful paintings.
But most people don t see, don t look.
