“Seacoast Cottage is a MUST visit!”

Reviewed 4 Jan 2016

I can't even begin to describe how amazing our stay was at the Seacoast Cottage. The pictures just don't do it justice, it is a must visit if you have any interest in seeing the beautiful Upper Peninsula. The cozy glass room was so awesome, the beds and bedding were like sleeping on a heavenly cloud, there were games, books, puzzles, and more provided by the hosts, the kitchen equipment was phenomenal-any cooks dream kitchen!-... I could go on an on, I would 100% recommend renting this cottage and plan on staying at least 3 nights! What an AMAZING trip!!

“The Perfect Getaway”

This A-frame provided the perfect honeymoon getaway for my wife and I. The view from the back porch are postcard worthy, the kitchen was fully stocked so we cooked almost every meal there, and it is only miles away from a world full of waterfalls and pictured rock hikes.Ties together romance and adventure into one location.

Owner's reply: yes the deck stairs go to the beach, a beautiful east coast rocky beach!!

“Seacoast Cottage”

My family and I recently spent a lovely 4 day weekend at Seacoast Cottage. The cottage was easy to find and yet pretty secluded. It was spacious and nicely decorated. Each of the beds was comfortable and the futon was easy to convert. The kitchen was very well appointed and a breeze to work in. The cottage has lots of books and magazines for those late evenings and rainy days. There is also satellite TV and WiFi for those of us who can't completey "unplug". There are helpful notes posted all over the cabin that seem to answer your questions just as soon as they form in your head. Also available are stacks of information about local features and things to do. Good food, good shopping are all close by. My family went on both the ShipWreck Cruise and the Sunset Picture Rock Cruise and they were equally spectacular and less then 15 miles from the Cabin. My Husband and I spent a few hours at the Casino in Christmas, and left pretty pleased with ourselves. Be sure to stop and take pictures with the Godzilla sized Santa in Christmas. We also visited Oswalds Bear Ranch, about an hour or so away and loved it. The Shipwreck Museum on Whitefish Point and Tahquamenon Falls are about 1.5 hours away and worth the drive. You do the Bear Ranch, the Shipwreck Museum and the Falls in a day and for less than $100 including gas (family of four), if you pack a picnic lunch to eat at either the Falls or the beach at Whitefish Point. There is a great deal of things to do in the area, more than we expected. Fun vacation that did not break the bank.

“Lake Superior at its best!”

Reviewed 1 Jul 2013

From the moment we arrived it was nothing but the most glorious and worry free stay in a vacation home. The home was spotless and every possible detail necessary well provided for. The view to the lake was stunning and decks-porches made using the water so easy. If you want to escape into the woods on Lake Superior but not leave the luxury of a well appointed home this one is for you! The gourmet kitchen was a dream to work in. Owner is fabulous to work with-prompt and exact. This VHBO is top notch and is even better than the pictures provided. We are ready to book for next year~and have given up the search of ever finding a comparable home to rent on Lake Superior-

We stayed at their property in the loft. It was very lovely. the kitchen was well equipt will all the amenities we could possibly need. The sauna was terrific after a long day in the cold. Right across the street from lake Superior that was frozen for the winter. I was a real experience to walk out onto the frozen lake! We had a great time in Marquette during the winter months would recommend this to anyone!

We spend one week in this cozy "Cottage" and enjoyed every day anew. We even didn't mind a rainy day - it was just awesome sitting in the comfy chairs of the Florida room watching clouds pass by and seeing the waves hitting the shoreline. After a cool start of the week, it got a little bit warmer and we were soaking up the sun on the patio, having a BBQ in the evening. The house was equipped with all we needed: from freshly ground coffee, comfortable beds, reclining chairs to a gas BBQ. And everything was clean - nothing to complain. We would go there anytime again.

The cottage is everything we had hoped for & more. Peaceful, quiet, beautiful! The appearance of the lake & sky varies every day. Exploring the area's natural beauty makes me think 'why would anyone want to vacation anywhere other than here?' We've been to the U.P. for the past 7 years, but never stayed put in one place like this. We've enjoyed every minute of staying in this lovely cottage. Add a spatula & measuring spoons to the otherwise well-stocked kitchen (loved the spices!). The coffee shop in Munising has excellent espresso. Ben Franklin's is great for stocking up on crafts for the kids & water toys. Miner's Beach is a perfect family outing - beautiful clean soft sand on a very wide beach, breathtaking views, rock hunting, swimming, watching kayaks & boats come & go, and not crowded at all - we almost had the whole palce to ourselves.

Had a wonderful time beside ever changing Lake Superior in a well appointed, stocked and comfortable cottage. Children had a great time down on the rocks creating a stone restaurant (a.k.a. Hard Rock Cafe) specializing in stone soup, (Tomb) stone pizza, Rocky Road Ice Cream, Hard boiled eggs, stone groud bread, "Sand"wiches, Hard Cider, Rock and Rye Soda, and Blue Lake Beans. Thank you for providing display of Northern Lights!

I think we found a little slice of heaven on the world wide web. This is a beautiful cabin and will make my first trip into the U.P. more memorable. As we were cottage shopping last August, we stumbled across seacoastcottage and I'm very happy that we did. Everything is great and I love my first view of Lake Superior and it's is breathtaking watching it from the deck! Our vacation started off on the rocky side getting here but once here I'm not sorry one bit. I hope that I can share this experience again with family & friends & trust me numerous people in Illinois and the Saginaw area will be visiting your web page.

We love the cabin. It was a perfect place to stay while we explored the U.P. from Pictured Rocks to Copper Harbor to Big Bay. Beautiful! Favorite food - pasties from Muldoon's in Munising - just delicious! And a cute little gift shop, too. This is definitely ladybug season up here & they seem to love the cabin! Thank you for your enthusiasm & friendliness when we called for information & reservations. Thank you also for having the cabin warm & welcoming.
