We have a 5 STAR rating on another site with lots of reviews!!! You may want to go to Vacation Rental (property #467927) By Owner to view.
The exterior is all cedar including the large relaxing deck overlooking Lake Michigan. Majestic Cedars, Hemlocks, and Maples tower around the home.
The shoreline boasts a great view with shallow water making it great for kids.
You can take in the beautiful views from the large wrap around deck or stroll down to the water's edge where we have additional seating and table. Relax and enjoy your morning coffee with gorgeous sunrises. Then finish your day off with your favorite beverage and take in the reflective sunsets.
You can go for walks along the shoreline, skipping stones along the way or walk down the private drive viewing the abundant wild flowers and beautiful woods. Watch for various wildlife such as Deer, Turkey, Wood Chucks, Eagles, Swans, Pelicans and many more woodland creatures. Walk a little further and explore the Heins Creek Nature Preserve, with it's winding creek that flows between Kangaroo Lake and Lake Michigan.
You can enjoy gathering around the fire pit by the shoreline for roasting marshmallows and telling your favorite stories beneath the bright starry sky.
The location is perfect; not in the middle of the noisy busy part of the county, yet centrally located and close enough to get most places in under 10 minutes. We love Baileys Harbor and all the outdoor recreation offered.
Enjoy the abundant recreation of Door County such as; winery tours, golf, kayaking, zip lining canopy tours, Cana Island light house tours, performing arts, galleries, world class salmon and walleye fishing, hiking, wind surfing, sailing, diving on shipwrecks, romantic sunsets, and ongoing festivals. There are also endless dining opportunities to experience.
A great place in Baileys to check out is Lake Shore Adventures. They have glass bottom kayak tours of ship wrecks, Salmon fishing charters, zip lining canopy tours at Ridges Sanctuary, and lots of rentals (kayaks, jet skis, bikes, pontoon boats). Their office is located in downtown Baileys Harbor and they know how to have fun.
You'll find yourself relaxed and very comfortable in this home away from home without breaking the bank. This is the second year this home is being rented and is priced below the comparable market.
*** All stays less than 1 week or overlapping designated turnover day during peak season are subject to approval.
There are three lighthouses in Baileys. Cana Island just north of town is open to the public and you may even climb to the top of this working light house. Another is the Bird Cage light house on a private island in Baileys that can be viewed up close by Kayaking or taking a boat tour from Lake Shore Adventures. Then there is the light house that is now part of the Ridges Sanctuary with a long boardwalk leading up from the public beach.
There is world class King Salmon and Rainbow Trout fishing off Baileys Harbor. Catch your trophy or at least some fine table fare for the grill during your stay. Again see Lake Shore Adventures for Charters or the latest fishing report if you have your own boat.
On a windy day go almost anywhere in Baileys and watch the kite boarders doing there acrobatics across the waves. There can be a dozen kites going at any given time.
If your real adventurous you can snorkel or dive various ship wrecks scattered across the Lake Michigan bottom. Again see Lake Shore Adventures for scuba and snorkel equipment, guided tours, or glass bottom kayaks to view the wrecks.
There are endless things to do in DC no matter what you prefer to do. One of the best parts about staying at our home is the location. It is tranquil and relaxing yet convenient to all the attractions. Enjoy your activities during the day and come home to peace and relaxation.

Girl's Weekend on the Lake at Bailey's Harbor
April 27, 2015
Wanted to tell you what a wonderful time we had at your house on two acres along Lake Michigan shoreline South of Bailey's Harbor. What a beautiful place it is. The house is so nice and is well equipped ... we cooked for the 5 of us one night and had everything we needed to whip up shrimp, salad & the trimmings for five of us. And it was so fun to see turkeys and deer cutting through the backyard between the house and the lake shore. We shopped Door County too, but didn't have enough time at the house to enjoy the big deck and the beach, so decided when we go back in the spring of 2015, we'll be staying an extra day. What a wonderful get-away!! See you again this year!! -ML & the Door County Dollies (-=

I loved this property! The home was cozy and inviting, and the views from the deck were beautiful. It is also about 15 minutes from the touristy activities visitors to Door County love!
Our family enjoyed our week here. The house is clean and comfortable - Enjoyed the amenities. We kayaked from your shore. Beautiful, peaceful and very quite.
Our dogs and I loved the walks on the local lanes.
We hope to enjoy the house again!
We had a great week here in Door County! It was nice to stay on the quite side this time. Your home is beautiful! We were all very comfortable staying here. It was fun to go swimming every day (most of all for our dog Fergie!) and hang out on the deck. We could easily and happily live here! Hope to be back soon!
This is the most lovely place! We've stayed in Door County every summer for 20 years at different rentals each time. This is our favorite. The home is simple, comfortable and tasteful - all qualities we envy and appreciate!
The beauty is breath taking from the setting of the woods and beach to the lines and design of the home. The stones on the wood stove fireplace add so much.
The kitchen is gorgeous. The beds and other furnishings are comfortable and feel luxurious at the same time.
Thanks for letting us bring our dog too.

Thank you for providing such a lovely home and setting for our vacation. My mother and I had a restful stay. Gigi my little dog, loved walking the road and along the water. Went to Anclam Park for swimming and sunning. Preferred to eat out and enjoyed several great meals in Baileys Harbor. We shopped daily all over the peninsula. Thanks for putting the chairs by the water ... fabulous view.
Hope to return!
