“Cozy vacation”

Reviewed 8 Jan 2017

We enjoyed our visit so much. The cabin was so cozy and comfortable. It was very clean and provided everything a person could want or need on vacation. We were impressed with how the decorations were so suited for the area. We really felt that we were staying in the Smokey Mountains. It was apparent that the owners put much thought and work into this place. We have already booked the cabin for another time.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your response. I hope that you come back and see us again. We strive to help our customers feel at home

“Our Winter Retreat”

We've stayed at the Pine Ridge Retreat for the last three years and always found it to be a lovely home to rest our tired feet after long days of hiking. Nicely decorated, comfortable, and has everything we could want and then some. Owners are always there, should we need anything more.

Owner's reply: Thanks for returning to Pine Ridge Retreat!!! We strive to give the utmost comforts and amenities!! We want our customers to come back again and again to see all the improvements and updates we have accomplished year after year!!! Thanks for being such great customers!!!!

“Comfortable getaway”

Reviewed 15 Sep 2015

Located on a remote hilltop, the house is decorated with woodsy flair, giving a homey welcome. Beds are comfortable, the home is clean and lovingly prepared and the fire pit area is the most charming we've experienced. Having nearly everything we could need for a relaxing time away from urgency, phones, and internet, we enjoyed the quiet and the trees and the access to several local points of interest not too far away. Owner was very hospitable and friendly and interested in making sure we were happy during our stay.

Owner's reply: Paula, thank you so much for your commendable words😀. We get some of the most wonderful customers and hope that you will return to see us again here at Pine Ridge Retreat😄😄

“Very Nice!”

Fantastic remote location with nice park, hikes, frisbee golf, small lake with beach, and small-boating a couple miles away. Host very helpful and next door. Plush bedding, lots of kitchen gear, great A/C, well manicured landscaping, etc etc. :)

Owner's reply: Thank you!! Hope you can come and visit us again in the future!

“Relaxing”

Reviewed 27 May 2015

I loved this ranch house , with all of the amenities of my own home. Beautifully decorated. Clean. Enough towels and washrags for 6 adults for three days. My nephew did not want to leave the fire pit area and I loved the deck area, so quiet , I sat out there and had my morning coffee and enjoyed nature. I will be back.

Owner's reply: I am so happy you enjoyed our place and much thanks for the bottle of wine 😀😀

“Spotless; warm & inviting!”

Reviewed 8 Sep 2014

Very close to Pike Lake, not far from Bainbridge or the amish stores and is a beautiful area! Hiking trails out your back door & a great firepit area with wood supplied! Home is well supplied, even beach towels! Tracie was so helpful if you should need anything & is just down the road! Love, love, love all the decorating & special touches. Also had lots of brochures, etc. for the area for things to do. Went to Serpent Mound, and all of the amish places on 41-easy to get to too! Don't try to find Cave Lake-you can't get in to it-long term camping! Wehn coming from Bainbridge, just look for big Pine Ridge Retreat sign. Took Tracie's recommendation for Paxton Restaurant's fried chicken-yummy and the place was very cute and CLEAN! As mentioned, Pine Ridge is spotless-she & her daughter are great cleaners!! Beds are cozy; the huge flat screen TV in the living room was awesome-watched some great movies!! All around awesome experience & can't wait to go back! Thanks Tracie-it was great!

Owner's reply: Thanks JUDY!!!

Tracy - Well... Greenbriar Ranch was every bit of the beauty and serenity I'd hoped it would be. We each enjoyed our specially themed rooms, the views from our windows and all the little amenities you so thoughtfully provided. And then the snow topped it all off as we woke up Friday morning to see it flaking down from the sky. I feel honored to be your first reservation! And am so happy that you've already had so many others to stay. You are a kind and gracious hostess going the extra mile! With every good wish. P.S. Thanks for the flowers and wine too!! 12/1/07

Thank you so much for a great stay. We were able to enjoy the outdoors to the fullest. Your property is wonderful. While my husband and older boys were out turkey hunting early in the morning, the younger boys and I explored the woods. We loved skipping rocks in the pond, bouncing on fallen trees and searching for morel mushrooms. In the afternoons we enjoyed frisbee golf - tons! Thanks for providing the discs. We also went to Chillicothe and visited the Adena Museum (very interesting) and enjoyed lunch on the patio of the Old Canal Resturant. It was great. Thank you for providing such a comfortable place to stay. You provided everything we needed, down to the finest detail. Tracy, you were a great hostess. Thanks for the banana bread. The boys also, really enjoyed hanging out with your son. We had a wonderful family get away. Hopefully we get back next year. 4/23/08

Tracy, Thank you so much for everything!! I am sitting here Tuesday morning drinking my tea - enjoying the peaceful moment ( something us moms don't get often) and I'm thinking of all the love and care you have really put into your beautiful retreat - the little added extras you wouldn't see in the other local cabins. The real personal concern you have for your renters is something you don't see these days. We all thank you again and plan to be back again!! I hope great blessing for you and your family. 8/19/08

It was the first time in many years that didn't have to cook Thanksgiving Dinner, but we came to our daughter's to be with them at their cabin in the woods. We have enjoyed ourselves here in your nicely furnished place. Our other daughter joined us from Nashville, TN. and Kelsey and Drew. Hi & WOOF to everybody that reads this! From our point of view, this place is great! See, we're dogs from the city & our humans brought us here with them as a little getaway. We hiked in the woods and there was LOTS of interesting smells. The air was fresh and clean. We sunned ourselves on the deck and fell asleep since it was quiet and peaceful. The windows of the cottage were nice and low so we could look out anytime. We barked at some strange noises in the night. We'll try to get to know Tabby better next time but here human was very nice. Well, it's back to the city in the morning after a good rest in the King size bed! See Ya! 4/17-19/09

We enjoyed our stay in your lovely cabin. We appreciate all the time you spent decorating each room. Our son, Brian, had fun walking the trails in the woods. Being a teenager, he also liked having his own TV. Our tow dogs, Bandit and Shadow, rallly like walkin in the woods with us. >as t might after the moon went down, the stars were beautiful in the sky. The popcorn and hot cocoa were yummy! Everything was truly comfortable and we felt right at home . We were able to have a special Thanksgiving with our family in Greenfield. We had an awesome time here in Bainbridge and at your cabin. It is absolutely beautiful and we really enjoyed staying in it! I lived our evening walks and early morning walks as well- we never get a chance to do tat in Cleveland or China. Another good experience wast attempting to make a fire! Let's just say it wasn't exactly roaring. We did succeed in making a snowman thought! Well, we wanted to thank you for showing us around town on Monday - It was great getting the scoop on the best restaurants and bakery's! We loved our apple fritters and warm pretzel. Again thank you for making our Christmas vacation such a memorable one. We hope your plans for the future come true! P.S. Jazmin, I had so much fun playing with you - you are so sweet! 12/20-23/09

Tracy, we really enjoyed coming to a new area.. would not have even known about this lovely cabin, if not for picking up your brochure at Rocky Creek Sate Park (2 years ago) leaned that sleeping in that lovely king size bed was way better than waking up on the ground. All the "group campers" were envious. We plan on returning to get out of the hustle & bustle of the city (away from all the gadgets) 5/31/10
