We thoroughly enjoyed our four day stay at the Lancaster House. Our host was very accomodating. The home is very clean. There was a bit of street noise til 2am on Friday night at the ground floor level. We would return to this home to enjoy more of Baltimore and the charming Fells Point area.

Lord Tylers a bit Oversold

March 28, 2010

A great location, but the unit itself was long on historic charm and very short on comfort for two couples--and just not very well maintained. One bedroom door was unusable when we arrived and the bathroom door wouldn't close at all. Water leaked from the second floor bathroom to the kitchen through a light fixture. The first thing we did when we got there was sweep the front step and pick up litter around the front door. There is one comfortable chair in the living room, and a wobbly poker table with chairs around it. There was so little privacy between the tiny 2nd and 3rd floor bedrooms that we might as well have been in one room together (a crack in the floor could be covered with an area rug--that would help). The "private" courtyard is actually shared between three units, with black bags of trash or construction debris piled up (tidily). Neighbors and proprietor are friendly and for one couple this would be much more workable, but for two couples--the Diary of Anne Frank came to mind more than once.

Lord Tyler's

November 5, 2008

We actually stayed at Lord Tyler's which is owned by the same person. The house is only about 12 feet wide which is typical of many of the houses in Fells Point. It was very quaint and cozy and decorated beautifully. The beds were extremely comfortable. The location was perfect, very close to all shops, restuarants and bars. We also had beautiful weather and so were able to enjoy the patio. The neighbors were also very friendly. We enjoyed ourselves very much and feel we will return again next year.
