This wonderful and historic (the Vanderbilt family hunting lodge for a time) home offers both walkable convenience to downtown Bar Harbor and access to the waterfront (no view from the cottage, which is in a park-like wooded setting), plus the added luxury of tennis courts and a wonderful outdoor living space under majestic trees.

First floor: Extensive renovations in 2016 have produced an elegant, and updated, upscale ambience throughout, with fully-renovated gourmet eat-in kitchen with large gas-log fireplace, many new windows overlooking the outdoor living space, freshened but still authentic period dining room, living room with fireplace and piano and an impressive wood-paneled central stairway.

Second floor: completely-renovated bathrooms are featured, plus a master queen bedroom with fireplace, a large shower bathroom with rain shower, three queen bedrooms and shared bath with clawfoot tub and separate shower.

Outdoor enjoyment is maximized with a small front deck, large rear porch and a large brick patio under shelterig trees...the perfect place for a cozy breakfast, a lazy afternoon, or entertaining. Bring your own racquets/balls to utilize the tennis courts. A quick walk down a wooded path brings you to Compass Harbor and the private pier. Many unique touches inside and out.

Second floor: 4 queen BRs, 2 full baths.

Prefer weekly, Sat-Sat bookings. Pro-rated 4, 5 or 6-night bookings may be approved with Sat, Sun, Mon or Tues arrivals and departures by the following Sat. No pets. No Smoking. Linens & towels provided.
