Wonderful location for sunsets and star gazing. We really enjoyed all the amenities...canoeing, marshmallow roast over the fire pit, the personal/friendly attention of the property manager. We felt like we were among friends in an amazing home on a tranquil lakeshore. The perfect place for a family reunion.

Rented this home for a quiet relaxing getaway with the family for the Christmas vacation week. Had a very nice time and house is very clean and comfortable. Fireplace was perfect and lots of wood for fires was available. Dish cable TV allowed for frequent couch potato movie viewing on large comfortable couch. Would be a nice location for the summer season activities also but we were happy to just mull around and spend time together.

We recently rented this house for a girls trip from California. Kevin was absolutely amazing, he responded to our inquiries right away and made himself available for any and all questions. When we arrived at the house, we were blown away. The house itself was gorgeous, it was imaculate and so well stocked with everything we could possibly need. The view was a whole other story, just breathtaking!! We also dealt with April and she was incredible as well, she was so quick to get back to us if we had questions. We would HIGHLY recommend this property to anyone looking for a beautiful escape, they definitely know how to make you feel welcome and comfortable. We can't wait to come back!! Karen

We vacationed here with 4 adults and 2 small children. The house was extremely clean and well stocked with just about anything you might need to make your vacation great. The property manager was very helpful and readily available to answer all of our questions about places to go and things to bring the kids to. We have been to several rental locations before and this is, by far, one of the best! We loved the open floor plan, the deck off the family room, the large yard for the kids and the clean lake water with a gradual water level for the little ones. We brought a boat for fishing and while the lake is very shallow, it was still fun. Albeit I thing we might have caught more fish right off the dock. We'll go back again!

The house, the lake, the weather and most of all the owners and the property managers made our vacation a memorable one! Kid safe and kid friendly (1 and 2 yr.old grandkids)Well stocked and so clean! Left a bag there and the owners took it back to their house so we would not have to drive over 2 hours to pick it up, so thoughtful! Shouldn't keep going on about it, everyone will want to go! Thank you Kevin, Lisa, April and Tom! Best regards, John,Linda,Tony,Sarah,Kenzie,Chad,Taylorand Brody

My family and I loved staying here! We caught catfish and bass off the dock (when using live bait) and loved the row boat. My kids enjoyed playing in the sandy area and jumping in the lake. All in all a beautiful and peaceful stay.

We just finished up a week's vacation with our grandkids and what fun! The lake is just outside the door and the fish were plentiful! Swimming in the lake, the fire pit, not to mention a pool and a golf course, kept everyone busy. I loved the large deck overlooking the lake and found it to be very tranquil. The property was clean, well-maintained, and the property manager was informative. I'd definitely recommend this property to a friend, especially if kids are involved.

We rented in Aug 2010 and it was the most perfect week for swimming and fishing and for just sitting on the deck watching the boats go by. The house was so comfortable and relaxing we just could not ask for better. The kids even went out blueberry picking and we made blueberry pancakes and blueberry cake (yes they even had a electric mixer there for us to use). I tell you this place had everything one would need ... GREAT experience and we all loved it!

We stayed here over Thanksgiving Weekend and loved it. The weather was cold & rainy, so we couldn't enjoy as many outdoor activities as we would have liked but we were not for want as the house is fully equipped with all the modern amenities for rainy days. We brought our own DVDs but found that they had quite a good selection of classic movies. We also brought our own Playstation 3 which we were able to connect very easily as they have a Playstation 2 already connected. As far as the home is concerned it is a gem on beautiful lakefront property, clean and well kept. It was just two of us but the place is large enough for a group or large family. Although it was windy and cold outside, it was cozy and warm inside. The central heating worked fantastically and if that wasn't enought there was plenty of firewood to start a fire. April who helps manage the property was more than helpful as she found a great place for us to go and watch football on Sunday and was available for any other questions we had. I reccomend this property to anyone looking to get away for a short or a long term vacation. Pleanty to do in the area and even if you get stuck indoors you will be pleased!

For the past 15 years my daughters and myself have gone away together over the Columbus Day Weekend. We enjoyed this vacation the best. The home was beautiful and the scenery around the lake was fantastic. We would recommend this home to all our friends.

We had a great time here for a 3 day weekend as the leaves were changing color. The property manager April was wonderful in making sure that we were comfortable and gave us lots of hints about where to visit and eat etc. There was lots to do at the house too. We loved rowing out onto the lake in the canoe on site and didn't get time to use the outdoor fire pit but would have loved to with the marshmallow that we found in the fridge too. The only thing that would have saved us a little time and effort was if there were written instructions for several things like using the DVD, playstation with the TV, Working the flu within fireplace and maybe even the washing machine. Other than that, this home was super clean and charming and much prettier in person than even in the photos. We loved it!

This property is everything it is advertised to be and then some. The owner is responsive, cooperative and conscientious. The property manager is the best I have encountered. Clean and spacious, perfect location, quiet and relaxing. Grandkids loved it as did us older folk. Thankyou Kevin (owner) and April (mgr). Definitely an A+ !

we just returned from the rainiest vacation EVER but we still had a great time! the house was exactly as described and had plenty of room for 2 families with 5 and 8yo daughters to run around and not be in one anothers space.

the beachfront was very nice and allowed easy access for even a non-swimmer to get in the water. we brought our canoe and explored the lake which is quite large, but there is a paddleboat that you could use as well.

my daughter caught her first fish - a small sunnie - right off the dock - she was thrilled!

my only complaint would have to be that there is not much in the area do on a rainy day. we had to drive 30mins or more to find activities to do with the kids on a couple of the days but really its not much of a problem. if we had had good weather we would have been on the beach every day and at the playgrounds and the golf course. hopefully we will have 7 sunny days the next time we return!

all in all, our 2 families have gone on vacation together for the last 5 years and this home was the most fun for all of us and we highly recommend it to anyone with children!

I can't say enough about this beautiful, spacious, open concept house situated directly on the lake. Plenty of room for all to stay and play. A huge couch to snuggle up on in front of a beautiful upreaching brick fireplace while you gaze off through several sets of glass doors to view the lake. A great place during winter as the moon lights up the snow and makes for a perfect setting. I especially appreciated the child friendly atmosphere...having a one year old who likes to get into things, I loved the gates, high chair and outlet covers that were already in place upon arrival. As an avid cook, I found everything I needed to fire a gourmet dinner in the kitchen and on the provided grill. Easy access to the lake in winter allows you to snowmobile right out of the yard or icefish (just be sure to buy a license). I highly recommend this rustic get-away and look forward to my next stay. I can't say enough good things about our experience. Everything was as stated and more. The house, the contacts, the lake, the nearby attractions were all excellent. My family and I enjoyed ourselves immensely. Our contact April was friendly and helpful. Kevin was excellent to work with. Basically I can't wait till next year to go back up for more snowmobiling, skiing, skating, shopping and fun.
