John and Rita, the owners of this wonderful home, are the best. My family and I rented numerous vacation homes for many years. Sometimes we arrived and were quite surprised by what we rented, not good. Not this home. It is very spacious and open and clean. There is a game room on the 2nd floor that kept the kids and adults occupied. The kitchen was supplied with the necessities for all of our meals. Right outside the kitchen door was the lake where we spent most our time. The wild life was incredible. We saw bald eagles, beaver, and tons of fish. Just across the lake is a beaver dam. At night we would be at the fire pit. Right down the road is State Park #91 where we were able to target shoot. It is very clean and safe. Please get your permit though, $30 for the year. The park police show up every day to check on the place. John and Rita were easy to deal with. In the package they sent us were the instructions for everything we needed to know about in the house. This home is secluded and our GPS took us right there. Absolutely no complaints about anything. Thank you 2 for a wonderful vacation.

Just returned from our second year of renting this home from John and Rita. I have to say that it was like coming home again. My 2 grandchildren actually screamed with delight when we opened the front door! The house is well equipped with everything you need, and then some. Rita contacted me upon our arrival to make sure the house was in order and we were happy.....couldn't ask for more in an owner. Both John and Rita go above and beyond when it comes to their renters. They make sure they are available the day you arrive in case there are any questions or concerns. When I had to contact them, this year and last, with any minor questions, they were very responsive. This means a lot to me, especially when it's your vacation time and your goal is to sit back and enjoy yourself. Speaking of, this property is feet from the lake and truly peaceful and serene. My 78 yr. old mother stated that the home was very comfortable and enjoyable in every way. We had 6 adults and 2 children in the house and never felt crowded or uncomfortable. The kitchen is very large and there was no problem accommodating 3 women doing their thing at the same time! The fact that the yard is level is a big draw for our family since my mom is a bit unsteady on her feet. My brothers and son spent most of their time fishing a few times a day, always coming home with tales and pics of the fish they caught. My 7 yr. old granddaughter caught her first fish and the excitement and smile on her face just lit her up!! My son caught an 18 in. bass......his biggest one caught in this lake! He was a very happy camper. And we were lucky enough to have another bald eagle sighting this year....I think he just flew by to say hello since we are old friends! This is a vacation home that we will continue to return to again and again, given the opportunity...actually we have to because my 4 yr. old grandson calls this "our vacation house".....how could we ever disappoint him??!! Me and my family highly recommend this home as the perfect home away from home to enjoy a serene, peaceful, happy vacation. John and Rita are the best and we feel very blessed to have happened upon them and deeply appreciate their kindness and friendship. We will be back!!

Owner's reply:

Dear Karen,
Thank you so much for being such wonderful people. We feel blessed to have you! Thank you for your kind words. We are glad that your Mom was able to enjoy time at the lake with the family. Having 4 generations enjoying their vacation together says it all. Thank you for the pictures of the Fish. We will add them to our site. We look forward to talking again soon. John & Rita
