About the area

Out of all the places in the world I have traveled for business, I love northern Michigan and the waters of Benzie County the most. My wife is an interior designer and this rental home gave us the opportunity to completely renovate an authentic 1888 structure and transform it into a bright, colorful vacation cottage. Why the Owner Chose Benzonia: Sprout House is near our primary residence and right near Crystal Lake. The town is quaint and close to so many of the attractions that make coastal Northern Michigan famous, including a pristine crystal beach and the Cherry Hut.

“Love Sprout House”

Reviewed 29 Jul 2016

So enjoyed our stay at Sprout House! Family of 4 stayed comfortably. Impeccably decorated, so inviting and warm! Perfect location to see all that this area has to offer! Restaurant 2 doors down was great! Bring a couple of extra blankets and maybe a few extra towels if you are staying longer than a few days. Fell in love with this place the minute we walked in!

“Great House!”

Reviewed 18 Jul 2016

While we wanted a house on the lake, this was absolutely the next best option. The boat launch was only 1 mile away and we had no issues at all. Excellent house for a group of 6 us (all mid-30's).
