“Perfect Get away”

Reviewed 10 Aug 2016

Absolutely loved it . It's a cozy little home , quiet yet pretty close to everything . We really enjoyed the time we spent there and look forward to going back . Bob & Johanne were a pleasure to deal with

“perfect stay”

Reviewed 22 Jul 2016

My husband with our 6 year old daughter stayed for a week. When we got there Johanne gave us a tour of the cottage, it was very clean and fully equipped. I brought a lot that I didn't need to...Lol (I tend to overpack). We also met Bob and their adorable collie, Bella. Very nice people and our daughter wanted Bella to stay with us so she could cuddle with her. The location was perfect, set back to feel like you are in the woods, but close enough to walk and get ice cream, which we did several nights. We were also close enough to where we didn't have to spend more than 45 minutes (max) to any of the tourist attractions. We had a wonderful time and look forward another visit. We would very much rent the cottage again.

“Peaceful Place!”

Reviewed 9 Jul 2015

We went to this place with my family and stayed there for 2 nights during the independence holiday. The cottage is very clean, very well equipped with everything necessary. Everybody had a great time. Johanne Walsh, who is owner was very kind and she gave us a lot of information about the area. I would definitely recommend this place. One thing, if they had a bug screen for the backyard doors, would have opened the door to get some fresh air. I think this is needed during summer. Anyway thank you Johanne and Johanne's sister in law. I enjoyed talking with them.

Owner's reply: Thank you Clara for choosing to stay with us It was our pleasure to meet you and your family. We will definitely think of adding that screen.Thank you for making the suggestion.

“A Home with A Heart”

Reviewed 8 Jul 2015

When we first arrived, we were greeted by Joanne. It was almost as if we knew each other and were continuing a conversation. She was very cordial, warm, engaging and affable. She introduced us to her collie and walked us through her home, pointing out where things were located. I found her demeanor to be authentic and down-to-earth, and would refer anyone to her properties for a getaway. The rental itself was 95% finished, but surpassed what we expected and satisfied all our needs. She was amazing, despite her prognosis and health. We pray for her as she continues to battle her reoccurrence of cancer, and that they find a way for her to combat it. I am renting the same property again next year, at this same time, just to see the property and her again. From just this mere three days, she left me with a good impression. So if you get to rent from Joanne, look for a warm smile, a nice chat and a cozy rental. She not only allowed us to use her home, but she shared something more paramount; her story, her heart.

“Fantasic place and ideal location”

Reviewed 2 Mar 2015

My family and I had a great time at this ideally located rental over February school vacation week. The location was perfect, right next to the multi-use trails (railroad tracks) connecting to miles of ski mobile/x-country trails. It is nearby Attatash and Cranmore and close to (25 minutes) to Bretton Woods where we like to ski. Bartlett and North Conway are both also in easy driving distance. The great part of this place is that even though it is in the middle of everything it feels very remote and scenic along the Saco river. Lastly, the owners were great to deal with, both accommodating to some of our needs and helpful and informative about the house while we were there. Highly recommended.
