Description of the Beulah vacation home rental
Centrally & conveniently located about an hour South of Colorado Springs and only 20 minutes from Pueblo, Wild Turkey Ranch is within an hour of Canon City {Royal Gorge}, Westcliffe & La Veta, this remarkable vacation rental is situated on 100 glorious very private, ponderosa pine-filled acres.

This lovely, spacious timber frame home beckons you to linger awhile on the 12-foot wide deck that surrounds the perimeter of the 5,600 s/f house. Snuggle up in the hammock, hike through the pines, explore the surrounds, stand in awe (from only a few yards away on the deck) the abundant wildlife ~ elk, deer, turkeys & dozens of hummingbirds. The summer garden is beautiful & we're always happy for an extra hand at weeding! Above all take deep breaths of cool, clear mountain air and marvel at the breathtaking, unobscured views of 12,352 ft. high 'Old Baldy' (Greenhorn Mountain). At night gaze in wonder at the brightly starlit sky and fall asleep to the songs of coyotes.

The home is window-filled on all 3 levels and affords large families plenty of privacy on each level. The library on the third floor has floor-to-ceiling shelves lined with hundreds of fascinating titles. In addition to the library there are two bedrooms (1 full bed; 2 twins) & a full bath.

The main level (2,500 s/f) with a 2-story stone wood-burning fireplace & grand piano for your enjoyment includes the master suite (queen bed) which opens on to the deck, another bedroom (full bed), the kitchen & dining room, pantries (stocked with spices & basic canned goods all of which you are most welcome to use in case you forget an essential ingredient), laundry and bath. The kitchen is well supplied with dishware (service for 12 of everything), pots, pans, utensils and china and crystal if you feel like celebrating!

The light & window-filled lower level walks out to the garden, has a wet bar, full bath, bedroom (queen), living room w/gas fireplace & a dining area.

Beulah Valley is known for its beauty and history & the quaint mountain village of Beulah (about 4 miles away from the property) has a general store w/fuel, an antique shop, post office and restaurant.

We didn't know what to expect... Driving through Pueblo.. We were not sure this was what we were looking for.. But when we arrived it was just what we needed!!! Lovely view of snow covered mountains! Well appointed home, owners Sherri & Hanp were interesting to visit with but not intrusive at all!! We are 2 couples, 55 yrs + traveling together. We all really enjoyed our time there!! So quite & relaxing.. First day early, 2 bucks in the front yard grazing.. Later in the front 2 doe's laying resting 7 ft from the front bedroom! Day 3 & 4 several flocks of wild turkeys made their way across the back part of the property!!! Only thing you should know lots of windows.. With lovely views, FYI.. No window covering's of any kind. If a large group you may need to set some boundaries of when not to walk by your bedroom or bathroom on lower floors! Lunch at Beulah Inn was great!! Others loved their first "Slopper" a regional favorite!! Great house to relax & get away from life in the fast lane.. Life in Beulah is slow & relaxing!! Not a big tourist area, but plenty to see & do just a short drive away!! Snowed the last night we were there.. Picture perfect when we got up the next morning to leave.. wished we had one more day to stay build a fire in the large fireplace...and enjoy it!!! Enough room for large families, but floodplain made it cozy for our small band of travelers. Would recommend to anyone!!!
