Description of the Big Sky vacation condo rental
White-water rafting, mountain biking, world class fly fishing, golf, tennis, nature hikes, top the list of summer activities near our affordable condo in Big Sky. Free wireless internet access in the condo. We are within walking distance to the resort and the shopping in the ski mall. For summer visitors, we are near Lake Levinski with lots of walking trails close by. Summer in Big Sky offers white water rafting in the Gallatin River, mountain biking down the "Chute", trout fishing minutes away in the Gallatin River. Yellowstone Park is just 53 miles away with an Imax Theater and Grizzly Bear and Wolf Discovery center in West Yellowstone so that you can see the animals up close. Our private hot tub on our back patio offers a view of Lone Peak. For ski vacations, we offer discount lift tickets that save you $20 a day per adult ticket and an upscale ski experience in an affordable mountain condo. Big Sky offers 4,350 vertical skiing with diverse terrain and no lift lines. Our condo has close access to the lifts. A free shuttle bus makes it that much more convenient. We have 2 and 3 bedroom units and can accomodate larger groups. Moonlight Basin and Big Sky offer spa treatments and massages. Let me recommend a restaurant to you. Big Sky offers variety in food- pizza, healthy wraps, four star dining, steaks including wild game, upscale deli and wines along with Mexican foods are some of the restaurants in Big Sky. Yellowstone National Park also has winter activities like snowmobiling and cross country skiing to see the bison, elk, deer, wolves, coyotes, moose and other animals.

Area Information
Big Sky is located 43 miles south of Bozeman, Montana on Highway 191. Big Sky Ski and Summer Resort is located at the base of Lone Peak, about 4 city blocks from our condo. Big Sky isn't a city. It's a resort community that has three areas: 1)the Mountain Village around the resort and the base of Lone Peak, 2)the Meadow Village which has the new Town Center and the 18 hole Arnie Palmer designed par 72 golf course and last, 3) the Big Sky businesses and restaurants down on Highway 191 south of the Big Sky Entrance. Big Sky boasts access to the Gallatin National Forest and the Lee Metcalf Wilderness Area. In the wintertime, Big Sky and Moonlight Basin offer a North American ski experience that rivals the Colorado resorts without the crowds. Snowmobiling down by the highway, cross country skiing, sleigh rides and tubing are other winter activities. In the summertime, Big Sky has lots of opportunities to get outside. Ousel Falls is a terrific attraction for nature and waterfall lovers. It's a short two mile walk on the trail near the Yellow mules trail head to a spectacular waterfall called Ousel Falls. There are plenty of benches to rest and picnic tables for lunch on the trail to Ousel Falls. The golf course around the Meadow Village offers a challenging course with open mountain views that may cause you to lose your concentration at times. Check out the Hungry Moose market for fine wines, cheeses and the chicken curry salad. I like the coffee at the Blue Moon cafe in the "Blue Mall" in the town center. They always have fresh cream and huge muffins to send you on your way. For your picnic lunch, check out the Wrap Shack for a beans and rice wrap with lots of healthy vegetables and shredded meat. Fishing the Gallatin River at Big Sky is some of the best fly fishing in the region. Look for the brown trout to be hanging in the still pools as they wait for their food to float by or one of your lures float by. Tennis courts, horseback riding, whitewater rafting, monthly concerts at the bandshell are some activities that you can take in the summer time. Downtown Bozeman has art galleries, leather goods and bistros unique to Montana.

Spacious and quite with a GREAT view

March 12, 2008

I spent a long weekend at this great condo in January 2008. The place was very clean, spacious, quiet, and has a wonderful view of Lone Peak (day and night). The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked with all the dishes and cookware we needed, and the two full bathrooms were well equipped and clean. And there was the hot tub on the patio! Each night after a day of skiing we sat in the large hot tub watching the snow cats on the slopes, the lights on Lone Peak, and the star filled sky above. We had the good fortune of meeting the owners; great family. Try this place out; you will like it.
