About the area

This great 4 Season cabin was just completed on 11/10/07. It is presently well equipped, and we will continue to make improvements to the cabin and property. It seems to have just the right feel of seclusion, yet has all the conveniences, and is perfectly located to many outdoor activities. Just a short trip gets you into the vast north woods. An outdoor enthusiasts dream come true. The scenery is breathtaking with mountain views to the northwest. Wyman lake, just minutes away was featured on the Maine foliage site last year. A half hour drive to the north, will get you to Maines highest single drop waterfall (Moxie Falls). A half hour drive in the southerly direction affords shopping opportunities, and also golfing at Lakewood golf course. A unique advantage to renting this cabin, is that just down the road is the Sunrise Ridge Guide service which offers many activities. Easy day trips of about 1hour can also get you to Moosehead Lake, Rangeley, and sugarloaf ski area

This was a really nice cabin and plenty of room and very clean. Kitchen stocked well with everything you need for cooking. Quiet location and in the middle of playland. Just up the road a way is all kinds of remote trout ponds, kayaking was excellent and endless logging roads for exploration. The kennebec rail trial is great for mountain biking just down the road. Jimmy's market has everything you need and very good deserts also makes a really good pizza and blt. The eagles and Moose were very good about getting their pictures taken. Lots of great memories. Thank you very much for letting us share you cabin. Tracey and Bruce from your neighboring state of NH.

“Perfect Thanksgiving!!”

Reviewed 5 Dec 2016

Me, my hubby and our dog stayed at "Just One More Day" over for the week of Thanksgiving. Our stay there was heaven! Quiet, peaceful and relaxing. We saw deer multiple times in the yard and had two visits from a red fox! He was absolutely beautiful. The house was cozy and felt like home as soon as we arrived. We had fire in the wood stove and it kept us warm the whole week. We spent Thanksgiving there and what a meal we had! The kitchen was amazing and we really loved cooking on the big gas range. It was extra nice sitting down to dinner with the snow falling outside and a warm fire inside. We checked out as much of the area as possible between naps. The weather was mixed rain and snow all week so the only day with a view of Kineo was the day we went home. We still checked out a few camp sites in the area and will definitely be back to the area and and the house as soon as possible! We certainly could see why the house is named "Just One More Day" and we were so lucky to stay an extra day! Thank you so much to the owners for sharing your little piece of heaven :)))

“great fishing”

Reviewed 7 Oct 2016

This was the 2nd time we rented this home for a week of fishing. It worked well as a base camp for 5 guys. we explored the local ponds and each got our limit of bass each day. the home is very comfortable and easy to get to. Plenty of beds for all of us. Fire pit was a great place to unwind with a drink and recount that days events and make plans for the following day. I look forward to our next visit

“Fantastic family vacation!”

Reviewed 17 Aug 2015

Our family of five spent a week in this lovely cabin in Bingham, ME. It was so comfortable, well-equipped and super clean. Cheree and Troy were very helpful and friendly!! It was an excellent location to do unlimited hiking, kayaking, swimming, biking and just enjoying the immense beauty of Maine! Lake Wyman is just minutes from the cabin, and our children (ages 10, 8 and 5) LOVED swimming and kayaking there. It is also just a couple of minutes to a rail-trail along a river, and loads of hiking trails. We went a bit farther to hike Mt. Kineo at Moosehead Lake, which was well worth the 1 1/2 hour drive. I would highly recommend this cabin to families looking for a comfortable, clean, beautiful home-away-from-home in an exceptionally gorgeous part of Maine!!

Owner's reply: There is nothing we like more than to hear how much our guests enjoyed their stay at our cabin. We have been very lucky to have had such wonderful people rent our cabin. When we bought the cabin, we were concerned about how it would be cared for by renters. We truly appreciate the way our renters have treated our cabin and property. Their efforts to keep our cabin in good condition, has allowed us to continue to offer and improve our cabin, so we can all enjoy it to the fullest.

“Awesome cabin in the woods of Maine !!”

Great trip, lovely log cabin in the Maine woods in the hills. Nicely furnished and well maintained. Great value. We spent a great week of Thanksgiving, so there was hiking, hunting and much much food! Some down time too, reading and movies the cabin has a great "homey" feel to it. had a fire outside and even did some grilling as we had a mixed weather bag this week. 55* and rain to 20* and clear, to 34* and snow. received about 8" inches. Overall an GREAT place and an Awesome week. I will be sure to spread the word! Steve & Katie

Owner's reply: We are always so happy to hear that our guests appreciate our efforts to make our cabin a special place everyone can enjoy. We still enjoy our cabin as much now, as when it was first built when we stay there ourselves. It never gets old for us, because we are always trying to find ways to make it a little better. We thank all our guests for making owning this cabin so rewarding.

“Comfortable cabin in fantastic location!”

Reviewed 3 Aug 2013

Four of us spent a weekend at the cabin and had a great time. It was secluded but not far from Bingham, the Kennebunk River and Wyman Lake - got some fishing in. The cabin was spacious and had all the comforts of home. The kitchen was fully stocked with cookware and spices! The weather was good and we spend much of our time outside on the porch grilling or by the outdoor fireplace. Will definitely book this cabin again!

Owner's reply: We work very hard to make our cabin a special place for our guests. It makes us happy when they get to enjoy it and appreciate our efforts.
