We had a wonderful time in this lovely log cabin. The location was perfect - a quiet peaceful setting next to woods. But close enough to town (Custer City), Mt Rushmore and the other Black Hills attractions. The cabin was so pretty and so well equipped, we felt right at home. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was because we had some water issues during our stay.

The Cabin was very nice. It is in a great location. Close to Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse and Custer State Park. Just outside of Hill City which had excellent dining and souvenier shopping.

Charming, Comfortable and Well Located

July 15, 2010

We stayed in the smallest of the Cole Cabins and were pleasently surprised with the open design of the spacious bedroom, bath, kitchen and living area as well as the covered front porch complete with a little grill and a table and chairs for eating outside. The cabins are a little close to the highway, but it was not a problem for us in July. The location is close to major attractions and just 5 miles from both Deadwood (gambling, etc.) and Lead, a charming little town where my daughter was performing in a play in a beautiful historic opera house. The cabin was very clean and well stocked - bedding, dishes, towels, etc. We definitely enjoyed our stay at Cole Cabins.

We enjoyed our stay in the Black Hills Cabins. The location was close to all the things we were planning on doing which was a big plus. The cabin was clean with plenty of room and the kitchenette helped save $$ on food. We had an EXCELLENT time!

Perfect, Awesome, Peaceful

I cannot say enough about this property. It was everything we hoped it would be - private, peaceful, wooded, close to everything we wanted to do, yet seemed like we were in our own private cabin away from it all. Highly recommended.

Owner Supplied Testimonials

"We want you to know that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay with you while on our wonderful vacation in the Black Hills. The Cabin was neat, relaxing and very comfortable; and we appreciate your efforts in helping to make us feel welcome. We arrived safely back home in ... Wisconsin, but our memories of South Dakota will forever be special. Thank you so much. Dan and Sandy"

"I'd like to say...I don't expect fancy things or expensive accommodations, just clean and inviting, and that's what I found here. The 1st day I went barefoot in the cabin and could tell the floors were clean. All the extra touches were noticed...the flowers on the porch, the aspen branches on the curtain rods, as frames, the decor and character of the cottage, ....thank you."

"Steve and Jan, My wife and I just wanted to thank you for our wonderful Cabin. We appreciate you taking us in on such short notice. We were very comfortable and cozy. Your cabins and location we found to be very convenient. We so enjoyed our stay, we hope to be back soon. Being so close to Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse Memorial, Black Hills National Forest and the ....who could not have a good time. We had a wonderful Easter weekend and one we will always remember! Wes and Beverly, Sodus NY"
