Reviews for this vacation home rental in Blairsville, Georgia

Sounds like a title of a horror story but its fits our experience at 279 Grand View. First was the drive up to the house,an exciting series of winding, straight up, breathtaking roads take you to your destination. Unexpected. Next you see the house sitting at the top of the driveway as if its perched on the side of a mountain. Walking up on the porch you realize that is exactly where you are. Unexpected. Once you enter the house it looks just like it does on the site. Beautiful. But has an I'm at home feel that you don't get with a lot of places. Everything about the place was "as advertised" the beds were excellent and the sleep sound device very effective. The kitchen was WELL stocked not only with any kind of appliance you will need but a cabinet full of spices and seasonings and a lot of extra stuff like flashlights, first aid, some meds, binoculars, etc. Unexpected. The weather was gorgeous the first 2 days then the most Unexpected thing of all happened. IT SNOWED BOUT 2INCHES.When it snows in the south that's big news and it was awesome. Another unexpected thing happened our first night when we realized the Thursday night football game wasn't on any of the channels so I called Allison to see if we were operating the satellite correctly and she did the most unexpected thing and called the dish company and had the ESPN channels added. That night! May not seem like much to you but to one of the guys whose team was playing that night it was HUGE. Not to mention the Saturday snow that ruined our golf plans was offset by the ability to watch all the great college games that were on. The best Unexpected was the view from the deck of the surrounding mountains the deer in the back yard were also cool. We will be back for sure for another unexpected visit.

This is truly a great place to stay!! Its a free standing home so you have privacy and you're secluded from all the other vacationers. The house was clean and well equipped so packing was easy. The owners were quick to respond to my emails and answered all my questions. My family loved the house and we will definitely book it again on out next trip.

Nice Private Cabin with a Beautiful Mountain View
July 25, 2011
There was a very nice view from the deck and windows. Very private with no other homes in sight. Great for the nature lover with many walking trails and waterfalls nearby but not too far from town. Home was roomy and decorated nicely and the jacuzzi tub was a nice touch. We enjoyed the screened in part of the deck and ate several meals outside. We would recommend this home to others.

When we decided to go to Blairsville for the week of Thankgiving we had no idea that our week would turn out so wonderful from the weather to the Home we rented we truely felt blessed. What a pleasure it was doing buisness with the owners of our Cabin. This was just what the Doctor ordered. From the View to the comforts of home we never dreamed it would be so theraputic. Thank You again Allison and Brad
Great Family Getaway

We planned our trip on very short notice but everything turned out great. We enjoyed our stay very much. Even my 10 year old son commented on the beautiful morning view. Lots of trout steams in this area, it was great.
Best Cabin Weekend Ever
August 10, 2010
This cabin is wonderful! The location is very private. We spent the entire first day on the screened porch enjoying the amazing view. The view seems almost too beautiful to be real. It reminded us of a painted movie background. The cabin style is one of simple elegance. It was clean and comfortable with a fully equipped kitchen. The layout is perfect for couples traveling together as each of the 3 levels has a bedroom and full bath. We thought we might take a drive at some point but we were so content that we never left the cabin. We opened all the windows when we arrived and did not need the air until the last day - and in August! Dealing with Allison was a pleasure. Try this one. You will not be disappointed.
