Description of the Blue Ridge vacation cabin rental
Come and enjoy our fully furnished 3 bedroom 2.5 bath cabin with spectacular layered mountain views!

We think the best place at the cabin is sitting on the front porch in one of the rocking chairs enjoying the long range mountain views. Not many cabins have such a stunning view as Blackberry Knoll. Many mornings, the view would make a perfect postcard. It may be a stunning sunrise, fog laying in the valleys or watching it roll in and out right before your eyes. Or it might be a lightning show in the distance, watching a meteor shower late at night or enjoying the wildlife as it meanders by. When the leaves begin to change in the fall, there is no better place to be than the porch at Blackberry Knoll!

If you choose to cook while on vacation, you should find everything you need in our fully stocked kitchen. We try to have all you need, pots, pans, blender, mixer, bowls, plates, utensils, coffee pot, microwave and toaster. We also have a gas grill on the porch.

The living room has a comfortable couch which also pulls out into a bed. The electric fireplace makes for a romantic touch as well. We also have cable tv with a basic package and internet available for those who still need to be connected to the world.

The master bedroom is on the main floor so you do not have to climb stairs to go to bed. The king bed in the master is extremely comfortable and the bathroom has a jetted tub to relax in as well as a separate tub/shower unit and 2 sinks.

The laundry room is on the main floor if you need to wash clothes as well as a 1/2 bath.

The game are upstairs has a pool table that also flips over for air hockey to help keep folks entertained. The other 2 bedrooms are also upstairs. One has a queen bed and the other bedroom has a twin bed and double bed. All bedrooms have a tv in them.

Our cabin is conveniently located half way between Blue Ridge and McCaysville. It only takes about 10 minutes to get to each town from the cabin. We are only a few blocks off of the main road so there are no long windy or steep roads to travel on.

Please note: We have been told by a few folks who visited our cabin on motorcycles that it is difficult to get in and out with a motorcycle due to the gravel road.
Area Information
If your idea of the perfect mountain vacation includes sitting in a rocking chair and looking at a spectacular mountain view, then Blackberry Knoll is the place for you. The sunrises are gorgeous as the sun rises in the wide open sky over the Blue Ridge Mountains. The stars are also beautiful in the clear mountain sky and the moon often shines in a fashion that is picture postcard perfect. Enjoy soaking in the hot tub on the porch.

When you are ready for action though, there are plenty of activities to do. In McCaysville which was the site of the 1996 Olympic kayaking events, you can go rafting, tubing or kayaking in the Toccoa and Ocoee rivers. There are also plenty of trails and waterfalls to explore at in the Parks. You can also go fishing or boating in Lake Blue Ridge or one of the many rivers and streams around. If horseback riding is of interest to you, that is nearby also. Many folks also enjoy taking a train ride through the mountains on the Blue Ridge scenic railway.

When you are done outdoors, there is plenty of shopping and dining in the nearby towns of Blue Ridge, McCaysville, Ellijay, Jasper and Cherry Log. There you can find antiques, rustic furniture, clothing, crafts and many other things. There are also several orchards and many restaurants that are worth checking out. There are also many festivals, arts and craft shows, singing's and other evens to go on year round.

Dining out is always important and a highlight of every vacation. There are many great and unique places to eat at in the McCaysville, Blue Ridge and surrounding areas.

Great couple or family retreat

Great couple or family retreat

July 16, 2016

The cabins sits beside a narrow gravel road on top of a mountain and has a beautiful view facing the sunrise. The key is available on site using a code. Even though their are five cabins within a short walk thanks to landscape between, you feel completely secluded. The cabin has an all wood interior and decorated in a cabin motif with plenty of lights and fans through out. The master bedroom is downstairs making it great for couples or for those with their family to still have personal space. The master bath has a corner tub and a separate shower. We only cooked breakfast there and found the kitchen to have all we needed. Their are tv's providing VHS and DVD. There are some movies in the den cabinet. The pool table/ air hockey provided some friendly competition. There was an Xbox with games but we did use it. The cabin is convenient to all roads leading to driving tours. Located close by is a hospital, Wal-Mart,Fast food, and downtown Blue Ridge. We spent the days riding the train, walking to waterfalls, going to the swinging bridge (very rough road for a van), tubing in Helen, GA, hiking to the top of Brasstown Bald, and touring the stops on the Ocoee River. The scenic parts of the towns close early leaving few quaint restaurants opened for late dinners. With a beautiful cabin like this one we looked forward to getting back at the end of the day and enjoying all that was offered. The owners had great personalities on the phone and prompt professional friendly emails. We would stay again if the chance for getaway comes.

Owner Supplied Testimonials

Some friends and I spent 3 nights here at Blackberry Knoll! It was the perfect place for us to spend our weekend with one another. The sunrises were beautiful. It's nice and quiet even though you are down the road from other cabins. Chris made booking the cabin super easy. There are lots of things near and the cabin is close a main road. I would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a nice getaway. Zandre Sept, 2015

Wow!!! The sunrises are just beautiful from this cabins front porch. We were blessed with 5 beautiful sunrises, with each day different from the one before. We couldn't wait to get up to see them. We also stayed during the Blue Moon which was just amazing (there won't be another one till 2018). One morning we were able to capture the sunrise and also see the moon set at the same time. The long range mountain views are just amazing. For us it was impossible to stay off the porch, rocking away the day.
We enjoyed most of our meals at the cabin which was well equipped to cook anything we wanted. The cabin was very spacious and nicely decorated. The king bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable. Each evening we soaked in the hot tub with a glass of wine, gazing up at the beautiful stars when the moon wasn't too bright. This is a great cabin to enjoy the mountains and all the fun things to do in the area. We visited Merciers, Cartecay Vineyards, Hardman Farms in the Nacoochee Valley by Helen GA. We did have lunch at Southern Charm in Blue Ridge one day. Very good southern cooking.
Thanks again Chris for opening your cabin to others so that they may share in the many blessings that Blackberry Knoll has to offer.

My husband and I stayed here for a well needed getaway. I'm a nurse and he is a truck driver, so with that said we rarely have time to ourselves. This was a perfect place for some us time. The cabin was spacious and well decorated. Very clean with plenty of linens and kitchen needs. We never turned the television on. We listened to the radio and made use of the cards that were inside the coffee table. The hot tub was also another well enjoyed relaxation. The owner was awesome and responded to all my questions within a timely manner. I would recommend this place to anyone searching for a nice romantic getaway, but this place could also accommodate a large family as well. We will definitely be returning in the future.
