Area Information
Trout Lake, a scenic residential lake, is located within the Adirondacks tourism region of New York and just up the hill from Lake George, "Queen of American Lakes." One of 20 lakes found in Warren County, Trout Lake falls within the town of Bolton and the hamlet of Bolton Landing. Trout Lake is approximately 1.5 miles long and a half-mile wide at the widest points of its crescent shape. This natural glacial lake has an outflow at its northeast end, where water flows into Huddle Brook and on to Huddle Bay in Lake George.

Tongue Mountain Range lies on a peninsula 10 miles north of Bolton and Trout Lake. In any season, 18 miles of hiking and skiing trails lead to spectacular views of Lake George and surrounding mountains.

For those who ski, snowboard or snowmobile, Gore Mountain is a 30 minute drive. Lake Placid is an hour and Killington is 1 1/2 hours. Cross Trout Lake and enter into a trail system that will take you into Canada. You can also find a vast amount of trails from Lake George Village. February is Winter Carnival and the activities are endless.
