Description of the Boothbay vacation home rental
Tide Walk cape is nestled in trees near our Linekin Bay ocean cove with pebble beach, 3 mi from Boothbay Harbor, and 2 miles from Ocean Point and open ocean. Occupancy is for four people. Free Wi-Fi. The average nightly rate quoted on the right applies to monthly stay in Winter.

Enter the cozy living room with cute wood stove, an antique trunk as coffee table, teal colored sofa, padded bench, comfy wing-backed chair, and, of course, a TV. A large opening guides you through to the group centric kitchen which is fully equipped with an electric cook stove, microwave, dishwasher, and refrigerator. All pots and pans, dishes and utensils are provided including a lobster pot. The four high backed swivel chairs invite you to relax at the large center island work space, while the south facing sliding glass door draws your eye through to the trees surrounding the property. An airy deck and picnic table beckon you to enjoy the outside.

Also downstairs is another sitting room and a good sized bath with shower. Choices of seating in the living room and den, both with TV's, will envelope you in comfort; the kitchen dining area will easily handle four people. Ample spaces for togetherness, yet plenty of cozy nooks for alone time add to the relaxation of your vacation.

Tide Walk cape has upstairs two bedrooms with vaulted ceilings and a complete bath. The yellow room has a queen bed, while the nautical room is furnished with two twins that can be put together to form a king on advance request. You will find Tide Walk to be a delightful respite in rural East Boothbay on quiet Paradise Point Road. It is not ON the water, but nearby!

Tide Walk is located just a 5 minute stroll from our pebble beach on the cove where the water warms in summer as it comes in over sun-drenched pebbles making it more pleasant for swimming. It is a small, safe cove where children can spend hours in and out of the water exploring and searching out the creatures that abound along the Maine coast. The Maine State Aquarium, maine.gov/dmr/rm/aquarium, is located in Boothbay Harbor and is open from Memorial Day until Columbus day. You can go there to find out what to search for when you come back to our cove.

This little inlet is also a great place to store and launch your kayaks or ours. By signing our release you will have the use of our three personal kayaks and our rowboat on a haul out. Our bay is wonderful for kayaking with lots of coastline to explore and no rivers emptying into it, thus no strong currents. If you have need of a deep water mooring for your own boat, we can do that as well.

The rates quoted are our DISCOUNTED PRICES for payments ONLY by cash or check; to pay by any other method please inquire for regular seasonal rates and let us know what payment method you want to use. One half our discounted total rent is payable in advance as a deposit to hold your time; the remainder is due on arrival. If you are unable to keep your reservation, we ask that you reschedule at another available time, or we can try to re-rent your dates less a $100 re-booking fee as long as you give us at least 30 days to do so.

OR by the month at $700/month + you pay the utilities. Call us to discuss. This is an amazingly energy efficient house.
Area Information
Should you tire of the seclusion of our spot, you can avail yourselves of the activities in bustling Boothbay Harbor just three miles away including boat excursions, varied shops, and gourmet restaurants. There are also several quaint harbors with lobster boats that you won’t want to miss; Cozy Harbor on Southport Island, and Little River just down the road from us, plus New Harbor on the Pemaquid Peninsula. The Boothbay Region Land Trust has many hiking trails to offer on their preserves. You’ll want to be sure to see our renowned Coastal Maine Botanical Garden. As you will discover, it is not necessary to do much traveling once you arrive, because the soul of the Maine coast can be experienced right here on the peninsula.

Other Vacation Rental Amenities
Tide Walk is located .3 mi from Linekin Bay in East Boothbay, and just 3 miles east of Boothbay Harbor by car or on foot via a walk through the woods from the Murray Hill Road (Boothbay Region Land Trust Trail). Thus we have the best of both worlds; private and secluded, yet not far from all the activities associated with a working waterfront. We suggest the boat ride to Burnt Island where guides in character demonstrate the life of a Lighthouse Keeper's family in 1952. Children will also love the Aquarium where they will learn what critters to hunt for when they come back to explore our beach and in the shallow water. Don't miss our renowned Maine Botanical Gardens or the Railway Village with its antique cars. You can play golf at the Boothbay Country Club. Shops, art studios, gourmet restaurants, live theater, hiking, whale watching, antiquing and afternoon tea are just a few of the options nearby when you stay at Tide Walk.

Other Activities: Kayaking by borrowing our kayaks tied up on the beach or bringing your own, Wildlife Viewing, Mini Golf, Boating, cross-country skiing, antiquing, gallery hopping, hiking

Golf: The much expanded and improved Boothbay Country Club offers golf. Just call ahead for a T-time.

Vacation at Tidewalk - East Boothbay Harbor, Maine

September 27, 2016

Tidewalk is a lovely cape situated on a quiet road and just a short walk to a lovely area where we sat by the water watching fishing boats and enjoying the gorgeous view. The house was bright and airy with plenty of room and homey touches (including beautiful art by Mary Ellen) and included all the amenities we needed. Boothbay Harbor was just minutes away and a great general store which serves fabulous homemade pizza and scrumptious breakfast muffins was just around the corner. The owners, Mary Ellen and Ron were such a nice couple and made us feel right at home. Don’t miss visiting Mary Ellen’s studio - her paintings are well worth a visit ! We definitely hope to return next year!

Great Vacation Cottage

August 15, 2016

We spent the week of August 6-13th at Tide Walk in East Boothbay Harbor. It was the nicest cottage we have ever visited. Clean, roomy, and beautifully decorated. Centrally located and just a short pleasant five minute walk from the shore. It was also well equipped with supplies and kitchen items. Nothing was lacking. We will definitely return on our next trip to Maine. A special thanks to the owners for providing us with a wonderful vacation spot.

Delightful cottage

July 25, 2016

Tide Walk is a two bedroom cottage on a beautiful and quite street. The kitchen is large enough and very clean. We ate most of our meals there. The cottage was very clean and the families in the homes located near the cottage were very friendly. The street the cottage is located on is very quiet and secluded. Thinking about going back next year.
