Description from owner

Bright and airy studio with an open Japanese inspired floor plan. Set in the hills of Monte Santo with spectacular views of the Atlantic and El Yunque. Private apartment, fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, large fenced in yard with pool. There are ceiling fans in every room but there is AC should one desire.

Grill on the deck as the sun drops behind the hills and dine under the stars. Fall asleep to the chirping of coquis, the native frog of Puerto Rico.

Casa Mae Mae is located in the center of the Island. It is equal distance between the town on the Northern shore of the Island, Isabel Segundo, and the town on the Island's Caribbean shore, Esperanza.

Casa Mae Mae is also located midway between the two main beach areas of Vieques, the Camp Garcia Beaches and Sunbay.

Vieques is an island for travelers, not tourists. with some of the most beautiful, unspoiled beaches you will ever find. There are no hotels, condos, restaurants on these beaches they are left with their natural habitat of palms, seagrapes, and native scrub. Sugar white sand and crystalline blue waters are ideal for sunbathing, swimming, snorkeling, walking or sleeping in the shade beneath the palms. The beaches are clean and sparsely populated. Not to be missed on Vieques is the Biobay, the Island is host to one of the best bioluminescent bays, worldwide. A trip to the Biobay is a tri of a lifetime.

Although a small island, there is a large variety of restaurants. One can find local Puerto Rican food, fresh fish, sushi, bar-b-que, fine Caribbean inspired cuisine and Mexican with an island twist, to name a few.

Named after Mae Mae; mother, wife, sister, grandmother and friend to many. Mae Mae loved the ocean and was a fun loving soul of life. She will always be missed but many found memories have been made here in her honor.
