This property is our own second home and only rented for 2-3 months per year. Consequently it is equipped and maintained as a "home" rather than a "rental".
The house is approximately 1,100 sq feet in area, spread over two levels and
overlooks a lake to the rear, a frequent feeding place for ducks, egrets, herons, anhingas, cormorants and pelicans etc and home to lots of turtles and fish.
The ground floor comprises of a combined lounge and dining room, a large kitchen, an enclosed lanai with triple sliding glass doors leading to a small patio and to the lakeside. Upstairs are one twin-bedded room to the front, and the master bedroom to the rear, overlooking the lake. Each bedroom has its own bathroom with toilet, bath, shower, and washbasin. There is a third toilet and washbasin on the ground floor. There is a breakfast table with 4 stools in the kitchen, or a glass dining table for more formal dining. The kitchen is fully equipped - a full inventory is available on request.
The house sleeps, and is equipped throughout, for a maximum of FOUR persons only. Because of the proximity of the lake, which is not fenced in, the house is not suitable for very young children unless they are closely supervised.
We regret we cannot accept any pets, however well-behaved they are. Smoking is not permitted anywhere within the house.
There is air-conditioning (new late 2015) throughout with the exception of the rear lanai. The main rooms and the lanai also have three-speed electric ceiling fans. The house has an alarm system that is directly connected to the police, fire and ambulance services with a panic button facility.
The lounge has a flat screen digital cable TV installed, which provides numerous TV channels and audio channels. Movies on demand are also available but at an additional cost. The lounge has a CD player/radio and a combined DVD/VCR unit. Each bedroom is equipped with a telephone and alarm/radio clock.
There is a high speed "always on" wireless Internet connection for accessing the Internet and e-mail. Youwill need to provide your own laptop, tablet, smart phone etc.
All bedding and towels are supplied.
The kitchen is well equipped including a large fridge/freezer, washing machine and dryer, ironing-board, iron etc. The house, all linen and towels, etc are expected to be left clean, otherwise the cost of bringing in professional cleaners will be deducted from your security deposit.
A car is essential. Reserved parking is directly outside the front door with plenty of spaces for visitors adjacent. There are restaurants, supermarkets and shops,banks, ATM's and a Post Office and library all within a five minute drive.
Within the Sabal Key & Harbour development are are several community facilities which are 5-10 minutes walk from the house. These include a include a large swimming pool surrounded by a furnished sun deck, tennis and basketball courts, volley-ball pitch, a clubhouse with showers and bathrooms, a communal barbecue and picnic tables.
