Reviews for this vacation home rental in Branson, Missouri

We really enjoyed our stay at Captain's Cove while celebrating our mom's 90th birthday. It was spacious, clean and private. The pool and hot tub seemed to be ours alone. The view from the deck was very pleasant. Some of us braved the frigid lake waters for a polar bear plunge. . We caught a lot of trout and enjoyed fresh grilled fillets in the pool side shelter. A cousin staying down the road at another resort was able to water taxi everyone from the dock. With Branson Landing and Branson so close we could not have hoped for a better location and experience. A few of the comments made by previous renters we would agree with. The sofa beds are not comfortable except for little ones who would be too exhausted to notice. We finally got the dvd player to work without freezing. A big cookie sheet would be nice. All in all it was a wonderful stay.

This place is a great value for the price. We have no real complaints. It was VERY comfortable, neat and clean. The kitchen was surprisingly well stocked. Only real issues were that the pool was un-usably packed on Saturday during the day and parking was a bit of a challenge on Saturday. But these are all things you should expect in this neck of the woods.

This house was wonderful! We had 9 adults and 3 kids in our group - and we never felt like we were on top of each other. The 2 living areas were wonderful and the nearly wrap around deck was a favorite spot. The pool was clean and cold. We would recommend this lovely home to anyone - and would book there again in a heartbeat! Thank you for sharing your home!

Review Submitted December 6, 2011 Date of Stay December 1, 2011 the home was much better than described- very clean. there was an information onsite about the area which we used and enjoyed. the view of lake tanneycomo was fabulous off the back deck- so wonderful to sit out and have coffee....also the owner and property manager were so nice-- my brother forgot his jacket and they mailed it back to him. will definitely return this summer with grandkids for the pool and hot tub..... Five Stars!

We just spent a wonderful weekend at the Captain's Cove at Lake Taneycomo, Briarwood resort. This is the first time that we stayed in a vacation rental home to accommodate 14 people under one roof -- and it was perfect. The house is on the lake front with the most beautiful view from the house. The manager had the keys in the combination lock box, so we just drove right to the house. Everything was in order when we arrived, and we were pleased to learn that the pictures online matched the home. It's actually nicer than the pictures! We'd definitely recommend this house - especially if you're bringing kids and want to spend a lot of your vacation relaxing. We cooked on the grill outside which is a high grill end making any griller proud. With plenty of rooms for the privacy, we were able to get a good night's sleep so we had plenty of energy to enjoy Branson's activities! All the appliances were new and the house was exceptionally clean and no one had any complaints. My family gives two thumbs up! 5 Stars

I had never rented over the internet and was a little worried of what we were going to find when we arrived. I had 15 people expecting me to pick a good place for our family. We were VERY pleased when we arrived. It was clean and had plenty of room. It looked exactly the way the pictures had shown. We were not in the unit 10 min. and we were already planning to visit again over the summer. 5 stars!

We took our extended family of 14 to Branson and stayed at Captain's Cove for 3 days (the weekend before Christmas). The accomodations were fantastic, and there was plenty of room for our group. Easy access to Silver Dollar City, Branson Landing, and Branson Shows. We are going back this summer for 1 week and taking our boat! Love it! 5 Stars

The home met all our expectations; not an easy task when you've got 4 different families together. It was close enough to town to be convenient but far enough away from the traffic to be quiet and feel like we were in the country. The kitchen had everything we needed and when the microwave went on the fritz all it took was a quick call and was quick to get out there and get it fixed. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing time and no worries!

We stayed in Captain's Cove for our family and friends vacation. We loved the view over the Lake. It was close to The Landing and the strip. My children had never been to Branson before and want to go back! The house was plenty big, the pool was never crowded. The outside deck was so relaxing. The pictures can be trusted, its' a great house and in a quiet, relaxing location. I wouldn't stay anywhere else. 5 Stars

Excellent. Property inside and out was well maintained. Quiet and awesome setting. Only flaw was that the hot tub was out of commission during our stay, but the pool was right on the water overlooking the Lake. Other than the hot tub, everything else was great. We will be renting it again next time we're vacationing in Branson. 5 Stars

Captain's cove a little out of the way but very worth it. Still close to Branson and the shows but when you are done with the traffic it is a quite retreat, would stay here again 5 Stars

It was a great place to stay with my two daughters and their families. The size was more than enough. I agree with the other reviews the pictures don't do it justice! Would stay there again! 5 Stars

We really enjoyed the spaciousness of the home and kitchen, and the multiple bedrooms, bathrooms and sofas. There were a lot of kids and teens and they loved the pool, the dock and the river. They even went fishing. It was nice and quiet and very clean. My only recommendation would be to provide table coverings for the fancy dining table, and consider trading out some of the sofas for fold-out couches. 4 &1/2 Stars
