One rental shop half a mile away, many more rental shops with a two mile drive. Grocery store and liquor/beer/wine store is a six minute drive away. In the summertime, the Sawmill Creek trailhead is half mile down Four O'Clock road, and Sawmill Creek can be heard from the deck of Our Mountain Honey. We arrived thinking that this couldn't be the place where we're staying. It was way beyond what we expected. It immediately became our cozy home. While in Breckenridge, we had so many choices of places to go and hang out. This was our Mountain Honey Home and every time we left we looked forward to our return. Jacuzzi, the view, wait what's that sound on the back porch? A gurgling stream running down the mountain. We all saw a fox out the window at different times. The Yellow Aspen trees were beautiful. One morning we woke up to everything covered in snow! Only one word can sum up our stay. "MAGICAL"

Owner's reply: I am so glad your group had such a lovely time! And that you got to see some color on the trees before all the leaves fell. We are looking forward to your visit next summer.

“Excellent for large families!!”

Our Mountain Honey was an incredible home! Nestled in the woods with a beautiful view of all the trees along with the sound of the stream that runs behind it. It was a perfect place to sit with a glass of wine and relax! The home was clean and comfortable, and also had plenty of room for the entire family to spread out. No one felt like they were on top of each other. It's an excellent location and very close to downtown Breckenridge, as well as some hiking trails that start just up the road. Another bonus was the pantry was stalked with more than the basics for cooking. That was a definite plus for our family since we love to cook. I can't say enough wonderful things about this home and its location!

Owner's reply: Thank you Courtney! We are new owners and so in love with this home. It means so much that our guests love it and think it is as cool as we do. Thank you for taking such great care of it and for giving us the honor of being the backdrop to some new memories for your family. We hope to see you again!

“Beautiful House”

Reviewed 28 Jun 2016

We spent a weekend in the house with four families and had a great time. The house is beautiful and very comfortable for a big group. It's quite close to everything that you need in town, but when you're on the deck you feel like you're in the middle of the woods.

Owner's reply: We are so glad you and your family had a great time. Thank you for your kind words. Please come back anytime!

We had three families with kids who had an alignment of Spring Break and wanted to ski. The abilities ranged from beginners to advanced. This rental was perfect. The location near the 4 O'Clock run allowed the advanced folks to get right up Peak 8 and then get to any mountain/terrain. Getting beginners to Peak 9 base was less than a five minute drive. Getting to town was so easy and fast. Walking to town would be feasible, in some case ski injuries make the short drive (less than four minutes) a better alternative. The key is you can manage either way. Location was a key reason we picked "Our Mountain Honey" but the amenities were important as well and we were not disappointed. The hot tub was used every night, the multiple large screen T.V.'s and locations accommodated youngsters playing video games while adults watched the NCAA Final Four. Multiple (3) fireplaces are available- including old fashioned wood and gas. We took great advantage of the upper deck with its great view of the Snowflake Lift through the trees, the stream and open area behind the house, and the grill for cooking. This house has plenty of space to allow the entire group to be together to eat, converse, or play games AND plenty of nooks to allow someone to get away for a bit. (I watched day 2 of the Masters in a private little area on the upper floor above the Master bedroom. Great view of the mountain but a chance to just relax). This is a great place. Almost forgot- two areas to do laundry- don't pack too much stuff!

We just got back home from staying in Breckenridge and it was absolutely a home away from home. Two families fit very comfortably in this large home. We skied three days and the location was great. We skied right down to Snowflake Lift and skied home on Four O'Clock. The amenities were great as well (heated floors, hot tub, DVD collection, wifi, extra living rooms for kids, 2 washers/dryers). We felt like we were at home the entire vacation. We didn't want to leave. Thank you for a great vacation with so many memories!!!!

A skiing Christmas present to our two sons and wives brought us to this rental. When we all walked in from the heated garage and driveway I heard "you did good." A true "Rocky Mountain home" with stone fireplace (and plenty of seasoned wood) and mountain decor. The views from the windows and decks (and large hot tub) are a treat nestled into the trees and rolling terrain with ample privacy for the morning coffee and quiet time. Bedrooms were large as well as baths with plush towels (plenty of them). Dens and TV's everywhere though we seemed to all migrate each evening to the main large one under the watchful eyes of the mounted elk and crackling fire. I especially liked the assortment of books throughout the house. Summary: "O YEAH" large, clean, tasteful.

We were celebrating our parents 50th wedding anniversary with a family trip to Breckenridge, the place we all fell in love with Colorado. We had three families in this house and one that stayed at another place. With all the kids this wasn't quite large enough for everyone to sleep here, but provided an excellent place to have some family meals together and play games. It was a great trip and this house provided some lifetime memories for all of us. Very comfortable house with plenty of room for people to spread out. Also the pretty location with a small stream out back just added that much more to the trip.

This home was the perfect place for us to celebrate our 50th anniversary with our 3 sons, their wives, and our six grandkids. It is a beautiful house inside and out and you feel right at home the minute you walk in. There is so much space we could all be together or have our own space to watch TV, play pool, or be down stairs putting a puzzle together. Our 9 year old granddaughter said she could get lost in the house. The home has everything you could need while away from home. It is a perfect location to town, great hikes and biking and yet you feel you are secluded and away from everything, a very peaceful place. We appreciated the books on things to do and places to eat, and there are lots of movies to watch and books to read. We all loved our week there and sure hated to leave. It was a very special week in a very special place!!! This was the third time my husband and I have stayed here and we think it is the best place to stay in Breckenridge and we highly recommend Our Mountain Honey!!!

Had a group of 9 people, all sleeping independently, and had plenty of room. Each floor provides a different setting in which to relax and enjoy your stay. The house is beautiful. It was well worth the cost and I would surely rent Our Mountain Honey again in a heartbeat. 4x4 vehicle is preferable on 4 O'Clock Road, as we did get our van stuck once (luckily we had 9 people to push it free)- this was a minor speedbump in what was possibly the best ski trip I've ever been on.

Best Family Vacation Ever!

What an amazing property in a perfect location for all outdoor activities. Yes, in summer! We can only imagine how perfect it would be during ski season. When we got to the home it was even better than we could have imagined, plenty of room, beautiful furnishings and comfort, comfort, comfort. We just returned to our home today and wish we could have stayed there forever. If you are looking for a place for a family or a group of friends- this is the place! We had five adults and six children and it was amazing! We can't wait to go back with a group of couples to experience this beautiful home again. Great location. Great home.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This place is perfect for large groups, we had 9 men and still had plenty of room. (I don't think we utilized the lower den at all but it's there if needed). Upon the day of arrival, everyone was giving me compliments on finding the place for us. Everything about this place is great. Walk across the street and you can start skiing. Close to town for shopping and restaurants. If you like nature, there is a fox that paid us visits frequently who is definitely not scared of humans (made for some great pics). "Our Mountain Honey" has it all.
