Newly remodeled, the beautiful second floor includes huge master bedroom with reading/relaxing room overlooking the lake and an entrance out to the private second floor patio.
The first floor features a modern kitchen with dishwasher, over range microwave, and plenty of counter space. Bright bamboo flooring throughout the rest of the first floor make the living room and sitting room (with lake views) especially cozy. Laundry facilities are also on the first floor.

Area Information
Galway Lake is a 550 acre manmade lake. The lake was originally created to supply water to the carpet mills in Amsterdam, NY. It is now the home and vacation spot for many families from around the capital district.
This lake is non-motorized. There are no motor boats, jet skis, etc. This means that the lake is always quiet, peaceful, and serene.
On Sundays during the summer, there are regatta's. The lake is a great place to swim, sail, kayak. Because of its private status, the fish are plentiful and large!
Saratoga Springs and the race track are only a 25 minute drive, Schenectady and Proctors Theater are only a 25 minute drive, Amsterdam is only a 10 minute drive.
The Great Sacandaga Lake is only a 10 minute drive if you want to use your jet skis or motor boat.
The Adirondack mountains, Lake George and Six Flags and Albany are about an hours drive.

Lovely quiet lake

June 21, 2012

The setting was wonderful. We were there with our two litlte grandchildren, and having a 'no motor' lake was just great. The house needed more utensils (only 4 little knives) and the furniture was a little shopworn. But the house was on a nice lawn and there was plenty of room for all of us.
