Large home, but far from expectations
March 7, 2014
We had a family reunion group of 15 adults, 8 children, 3 infants. When it says x amount of bedrooms- realize 2 of the "rooms" are in the damp smelly basement- one, cramped with double bunk beds. In the middle of July- it took a whole day for the A/C to kick in. When water tap/showers were turned on....an AWFUL sulfuric odor emanated!! We had to BUY bottled water for ALL our cooking! not relaxing. (we later learned this is a well water issue, house being unused for some time problem). This house has NOT been gently used- the sofas were tired, coffee tables barely glued together. There must have been a prom party or spring break crowd that used the house prior to us because there was damage (holes punched in the wall and graffiti in pink highlighter on basement room doors). Its a shame- this house was large enough to accommodate us, however A LOT of unexpected gross surprises! steer clear.

COMFY YET UNTIDY
December 3, 2013
I was pleased to see that the pictures on the Internet honestly represented the house. Quite spacious; which satisfied our group of 20 something. I was happy that there were two kitchens. We had a great time; enough room for all to enjoy together or privately. My main complaint is that the owner did not thoroughly clean the house before my arrival; even though we paid a cleaning fee. The stoves were dirty, spiders, and other unmentionable pests. An exterminator is needed and a paint job couldn't hurt. This is just my observation from the basement. I would rent again; however would have someone check site before renting.

Perfect Thankgiving Holiday
December 3, 2013
As many of the previous reviews have stated, this house is massive. It was the Perfect fit for my family of 20+ to enjoy our Thanksgiving Holiday. Leading up to trip the Owner was pleasant to deal with, responded quickly and very accommodating. The house has everything you can think of in terms of amenities. More than enough rooms, so you can escape and get private time if you'd like. The common areas are large enough to fit 20+ people easily. Great for dining together or playing games. Something to keep in mind if you're using the 4th floor is that the thermostat in the Master Suite controls this floor and the 3rd. You have to crank up heat in order to heat up 4th floor which may make 3rd floor warmer then you would like. Supermarkets, Restaurants etc are all within a 5 minute drive. TV's in every room and wifi. I would highly recommend this property and I would use it again.
PERFECT FOR LRG GROUPS!!!!
February 25, 2013
This house is perfect for large groups. We had over 30 people and there was plenty of room for everyone to sleep and plenty of space to do whatever throughout the house. Owner was quick to respond to emails and was a pleasure to deal with. Thank you and see you next year.
February 10, 2013
I had been emailing the owner back and forth and he sent me a price and a contract. When we were about to send in the deposit fee and contract, we called and he told us that the house had been booked for over a month. We were not informed of this and WE had to call in order to find out. If you're buying this house make sure he is responsive so you're not put in our situation! I did not actually stay here, so I cannot say anything about the experience, but be careful because he may lie to you!!
not so clean
January 31, 2013
After our arrival at first glance its a very spacious beautiful home and each room had a bathroom which was a plus. But after about a half hour, we started noticing that the home wasn't as clean as it should have been. Especially considering there is a $300 non refundable cleaning fee. ie., food on the ceilings, not so clean floors, the bedrooms in the basement had used water bottles in the window sill, crumbs and empty food wrappers under the beds. The room where the furnace was had empty cigar wrappings, tobacco, and other garbage surrounding it, which is a fire hazzard. The handle to sliding door to the deck in the kitchen was completely broken and hanging and a broken vase that was taped back together instead of being replaced. The house alarm was constantly beeping and at one point I called you to see if it could be disarmed but you never returned the call. I spoke to Eddie who told me what to do, but it became too much of a hassle to deal with the constant beeping which also kept some of us up at night. Holes in the walls were too big to miss. Light bulbs were also out in the kitchen. The table top in the kitchen needs to be a little more supportive as it almost toppled quite a few time on anyone that leaned on it while dining. We also had little visitors: black carpenter ants in the kitchen and lady bugs found spiratically flying around the house.   As we were all understanding to this being a rental property and not a primary residence, you would think a little more care would have been adhered to for the renters to entice them to come back. Eddie, the property manager, was nice to deal with answering my calls and understanding with our concerns. On a positive note we enjoyed our stay over all, but I'm sorry to say my family and I were too disappointed to return here. It's a shame because the home had rave reviews which is why we wanted the house to begin with. Â

The facility was certainly big enough. The manager (Eddie) was very helpful. We had a few issues with the house, the grill only worked on half the burners, basement shower didn't work but we worked around these. Overall if a little more money was invested in the little things, like better linens and towels and some of the beds were not real comfortable, this would be a 5 star house. Golfing at Hideaway Hills just down the road (10 to 15 minutes) was spectacular and if we needed any supplies The worlds largest ShopRite is less than 5 minutes away. The women spent a great afternoon in the town of Jim Thorpe (25 minutes) and were delighted.
Lots of bed
August 14, 2012
The place was clean and good. lots of space. We had bad experience with the air conditioning unit. the master bed room unit wasnt working. Also the 2 bed rooms on top floor is like oven due to no air condition. This room together with the area sleeps arounf 12 people. So No ac makes people really pissed off. Apart from that the house was clean, good people to deal with. On time.
Huge home! Awesome for big groups!
June 8, 2012
This house was outstanding..we had a bunch of friends for after prom! we brought almost everything you would need for a weekend however it didn't have the little things like pot holders, propane- we went out and bought it. Otherwise, it was awesome! I will recommend this to everyone!
Great space, but bring supplies
January 11, 2012
We used this house for a family reunion and the amount of space was great for us because gave a group of varying ages some privacy with the amount of bedrooms. It is definitely a rental property, so don't expect anything fancy, but it does the trick for a getaway with a big group. Lots of TVs too! A couple of recommendations: If you are planning on cooking, you should bring your own equipment, like knives, pots and pans, etc. There is not much there, and what is there is so worn, we did not want to use it. Same goes for pillows and towels--you can use what is provided, but you will probably want your own. Also, plan to use plastic dishes like we did--we had a group of 20, and while there were enough plates for 20, there was not enough silverware or glassware. The two kitchens was a definite plus in terms of food storage and prep and the number of bathrooms was great for our sized group.

I know plenty of other reviewers have already mentioned it, but it's hard to write a review without reiterating that this house is MASSIVE. There were 26 in our group, and there were still some beds that were free. It has a full-sized kitchen, massive dining room/living room area, and a second living room in the basement. If anyone is in my position and planning for a large group of people, this information is pretty useful when ti comes to deciding sleeping arrangements, etc: --Basement has three bedrooms: one single small bed in one room, and two bunk beds in each of the other two rooms (making for a total of 4 beds per bunk bed bedroom). There is also a slightly random bed in the basement living room area. = total of 10 beds. The basement was the coldest part of the house. There is one bathroom near the kitchenette area. --First floor has one bedroom and a sitting room that can be used as a bedroom (sofa). There is one bathroom here as well. Don't give this floor to light sleepers, as most activity is on this floor as well. --Second floor has 4 bedrooms: 3 regular bedrooms, and one master bedroom. All have their own private bathroom. I stayed in the master bedroom (perks of organizing), and it was glorious. Really spacious and has a jacuzzi bathtub. Of note, if it is loud in the living room of the first floor, because of the design of the house, you will hear it on the second floor pretty easily. --Third floor has technically two bedrooms, but as a previous post mentioned, they're in an "orphanage" style layout - 4 beds in each bedroom. One bedroom has no windows to the outside, which is good to keep in mind. The living room-ish area on the third floor is VERY spacious, and has three couches, which were used as impromptu nap spots, since the noise from the first floor didn't reach the third floor. It did get fairly hot on the third floor, however, as there was some problem with the ACs so they could not be left running all the time. Things to keep in mind when going: - While the kitchen does have some pots, pans, and utensils, it is a VERY good idea to bring whatever you need on your own. There is only one knife that can be used for chopping, no strainers, and enough utensils for 10 or so people. - You are limited to 3/4 garbage bags. any extra cost 5$ each. - The garage can fit two cars + 5 more in driveway. Overall, a very pleasant experience, especially in dealing with Sylvester and the property manager, Mylon. Check-in time
Nice size house with potential - little misleading
June 26, 2011
The house is very large & perfect for large groups. It is beautiful & roomy, however the ad is misleading with the bedrooms. There are only 5 bedrooms that have TVs and the modern conveniences as indicated. Remaining bedrooms really are not suitable for adults - okay for kids. They only have single beds or bunkbeds and no room to place luggage or get dressed - only room for beds. The ad should be updated to indicate only 5 rooms are actually bedrooms. Kitchen is big but not much for cooking supplies, grill is not usable and outside of house was dirty. Feedback was given to owner so hopefully he will make the changes. Owner was nice to deal with but did fail to say that the $400 depoist at check-in had to be cash.

Comfortable, relaxing, and accommodating
March 14, 2011
I rented this home for a birthday party, there were 14 of us so you can imagine how much extra room there was! It's a huge home and everyone has their own space to do what they want. The owner/ manager were very accommodating since we checked in later than usual. Everything was perfect and all my guests enjoyed their getaway. It was a great success!
Very spacious and accomodating!

This house is gigantic. The owner uses the space in order to maximize the amount of people that can stay there, which is perfect for large groups or multiple families. There are many bathrooms, lots of space to spread out, and all of the necessary amenities. In comparison to other Poconos properties, this place is top notch! The owner is very nice and the property manager was prompt upon check-in and check-out. Book in advance as this place goes quick!

The rental was beyond what I could have imagined! The pictures online really doesn't do the house much justice, because it is waaay more spacious and has such great lighting that cant always be captured on camera! With all the space, 4 floors, beds everywhere, neat, amazing lighting from the large windows, and great amenities it was truly a pleasure to have the opportunity to stay there. My guests, as well as myself really had such an incredible time! The property manager Eddie was awesome! Very polite and professional and really made us feel welcomed. I had a pretty large group, and we didn't feel cramped because of the spacious lay out of the home, the hot water didn't run out, the heating was well controlled, and overall-the house was so cozy, it just made everyone feel right at home! I have rented another Poconos property before and this one by far takes the cake! I would recommend to anyone with a large group that is willing to have fun and enjoy all this house has to offer!! :) There is really not enough stars to rate this home! I give it a 10!
December 9, 2010
This house was stinky. It had moth balls everywhere. There was poop in all the toilets. Worst place ever. Do not stay there. Alot of spanish ppl rent this house and it smells like rice and beans. There was blood on the carpet and mice everywhere. I rate this 11 thumbs down. I say 11 because I have an extra thumb.

This is the perfect rental for a large group of people. The many beds and bedrooms allows everyone to sleep comfortably. It also has a pingpong table and lots of tvs and dvd players so there is something for everyone to do!
The Best Money Can Buy
January 7, 2010
First of all, the pictures do not do this house justice. The house is 4 floors of brand new equipment, furniture, and pure comfort. Many of the rooms are orphanage style in terms of their bed layouts, which is certainly not a bad thing at all. The owner and house manager with extremely friendly, professional, and easy to work with. If you are looking for a house in the Poconos area and this one is open, you would be extremely foolish not to get this one.

The pictures posted do do this house justice. The master suite was huge with a large bath with a jacuzzi tub. 3 additional bedrooms have their own private bath. Their is a large loft on the 4th level. TVS in every room. Plenty of space. Large stocked kitchen. Diningroom to seat 8. Close to attractions. I am looking forward to renting this house again.
