Great place to stay

August 17, 2013

We stayed at this cottage with our 2 dogs for 2 weeks. The location was perfect- quiet yet close to Brunswick. It had all the items needed to be comfortable. From the screened porch we could see the ocean and pretty sunsets.

So Close Yet So Far Away

This is a real 'cottage' in the truest sense of the word. Quaint and cozy. Very quiet - yet close to all amenities. Woodsy feel with a nice ocean view and ocean breezes. There's a staircase that leads down to a rocky beach. Amazing sunsets! Very reasonably priced!

Cute But A Bit Underwhelming

July 30, 2013

It was a very cute cottage and could actually sleep up to 7 people (if you had two on the big bed, two on the futon, one in each twin, and one on the couch). Not much for parking space, but it is in a very nice little wooded area so that wasn't surprising. Couldn't find the proper trash bags Heard mice in the wall of the living room/big bed (although never saw any or saw any other evidence of them) Great sunset/view I realize that Maine is typically not very hot, even in the summer, but it was quite hot while we were there and there were no ceiling fans or air conditioning (which is typical in Maine). The really disappointing part was that there was only one TINY box fan (maybe 8 inches by 8 inches) available. I was surprised that they weren't more prepared for the possibility of warm nights or simply people who like to have air movement at night. A fan for the room the twins were in, the living room, and the area with the big bed is not an unreasonable expectation. Overall, it would be all right to stay in again, but I would definitely pack differently and possibly look for somewhere else first.

Just About Perfect

October 1, 2012

We were pleased with the cottage ex that we were not warm enough, the last week of Sept. Parents are 89/93, been in Florida too long! those cooler Maine nights got to them. Next time, we will come earlier, maybe for summer!! We got ahead of the leaf peepers, though, and still saw changes in foliage. So overall, we accomplished our goal. My son enjoyed the cabin, so you may hear from him! and the folks at the Marina are delightful. I think Mere Point is now my favorite peninsula

Cozy cottage

We enjoyed our stay here. Quiet cottage in the woods but not isolated. Lobster rolls within walking distance. Many quaint little towns and villages within a short drive. Beautiful sunsets. Would come back again.

Cute, Clean, Affordable!

July 29, 2012

I stayed here for a week in July while attending a program at Bowdoin College (about 10 minutes away). The cottage is adorable, cozy, clean, comfortable, and has a delightful view. The kitchen is well-stocked with everything you need for a vacation (pots, pans, etc). I even managed to make a spaghetti dinner for over 15 people from my program one night. We ate on the deck overlooking the water--phenomenal! The bedrooms are comfortable, the bathrooms is nice, and I would definitely stay here again.
