About the area

For outdoor enthusiasts, this location cannot be beat. Whitewater, hiking, mountain biking, boating, waterfall seeking, ziplining, horseback riding are all nearby, in many forms. After days of adventure, or shopping for antiques, this house offers the best place for a quiet evening, watching the sunset with friends and family.

Getting here

The house is 6 miles off Highway 74 from Bryson City. It is a bit of a windy road up the mountain, but easy. It usually takes about 20 minutes to get to town. The road is paved all the way to the house, and a school bus route, so it does get plowed and salted in the event of snow.

Interaction with guest

I am available by phone most of the time. Please don't hesitate to call if there are any issues. If I cannot be reached, please call the caretakers, Patti and Noel, (number posted on refrigerator). They live right next door.

Owner Supplied Testimonials

We had a great three days exploring Bryson City, Maggie Valley, Waynesville and Silva. Lots to do and see, and the cabin was a good central location. The cabin was clean , and the listing was accurate; the owner provided great customer service. We loved Bryson City and the Mountain Perks Cafe is a great place for coffee, breakfast and lunch sandwiches, including some gluten free items. We enjoyed exploring the town and the beautiful shops, and the people were friendly and welcoming.

Everything that u need when renting a cabin. Close to great smokey mountains and Bryson City. Enjoyable drive to a peaceful cabin. Great WiFi and view from the porch. And very freindly owners. Would stay again.

I have several reviews on my other booking site, these are 2. I have 4.7 star rating out of 25 reviews.
