If you want crowds, go to Gatlinburg. This is Mother Nature at her best with more to do than you can imagine. Three upscale bedrooms, a huge greatroom, plenty of space, upscale cabin with granite counter tops, and perfect ambiance.
Drive a little further...under an hour...and you'll see the Biltmore House, Dollywood, Pigeon Forge and more. You can be in the middle of "mountain tourism" within a short drive. Luckily, you'll be able to escape to your own mountain hideaway where nature comes first. Really, what does one come to the mountains for? If it's the beauty of nature, incredible sights, lots to do, and a chance to be in "God's Country," this is the place.

Our visit could not have been more enjoyable. The cabin was extremely clean, peaceful and serene. The view was magnificent!! I would highly recommend staying at Mountain Vista!

The view of this home is spectacular! If sleeping in the loft you literally wake and look out to the beautiful mountain view. The home is well kept and stocked. A few things I would have liked to have known are: there is no grassy yard area for kids to play (a gravel area and mountain to hike, but all with decent grades at edges to fall), the couch is no longer a sleeper sofa...they do have an inflatable mattress and pump. Lastly was the location. It was secluded with a gorgeous view but a little further out than we had thought. It takes about 20 minutes to get to Bryson City from the cabin so we did more driving than anticipated to get to our various destinations (the rental rate is more affordable though than those closer though). Melanie's "recommended" places to see were great. We really enjoyed the Filling Station for food and huge ice cream sandwiches, tubing down the Deep Creek, Paddle Inn Rafting for whitewater rafting (low key rafting), and a short hike outside of Robbinsville that she recommends in her binder but unfortunately I can't remember the name of it! As always it's fun to check out the more touristy areas of Gaitlinburg, Clingman's Dome, and the Smokies National Forest but be prepared for over an hour drive for these. We had a wonderful time enjoying nature with our family!
Thanks for the nice review. Yup, we are out of the touristy areas, so Mother Nature, rafting, tubing, zip lining, no traffic, a great swimable lake, fishing, hikes, waterfalls - that's what you get close by. Bill and I are Floridians; we picked this part of the Smokies because Florida is touristy and we didn't want that. The Hike? Yellow Creek Falls! Sit on a giant boulder with some wine and enjoy that waterfall in peace. Thanks again!

The location was lovely, the cabin was very spacious. the view of the mountains was breathtaking. Very private and cozy. nice wrap around deck. Drinking coffee first thing in the morning with just a nice breeze and a sunrise over the mountains is a perfect way to start your day.

What a lovely little cabin! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay...very peaceful and relaxing. The kitchen was well-stocked with all "essentials" for praparing meals. The cabin was clean and comfortable. The only "negative" thing I'd say was that the bathroom door needs attention - it was sticking/dragging on the sill...just needs to be cut down maybe 1/4". The directions to the cabin were perfect...we got there with no trouble. It's located conveniently too...easy to get around to area attractions, etc. All in All....we loved it! We definately plan on going back...we'll either look to stay in the same cabin, or depending on availability, try out another one of your cabins. Thank you ! Lisa and Jim Fisk

If you want to be away from the hustle and bustle, this is the place! Very clean, spacious and had everything we needed.
Thanks Jackie! We have whitewater, hikes, choo choo trains, waterfalls, zip lines, Mother Nature and gorgeous scenery, but you are absolutely right! Anyone who enjoys the mountains needs to be here. Anyone who wants to spend their time in heavy traffic and outlet malls needs to be elsewhere. Thank you so very much for your review.

We are an older couple 72 and 80 years young with a small poodle who is a great traveler. The cabin was everything we hoped for and more. Bill and Melanie were terrific hosts and Bill displayed the pateince of Job when explaining the satellite system to a non-techi. The bedroom loft was awesome altho a bit hard to get up the stairs to the loft because of neuropathy in my legs and feet I managed to do it and so very glad as the view in the morning of the sun rising over the mountain was to die for! The amenities were all there in the kitchen didn't need to really bring a thing from home. Next time we won't bring food with us either as there is a terrific grocery store (Ingles) in Robbinsville that has everything you might want or need while at the cabin. However, if you indulge in alcoholic beverages be aware that Graham County is dry, there was another Ingles about 20 minutes away in a different county where we went to get some beer and wine. That was the only thing I didn't pack for our trip. Melanie sent directions to the cabin which were right on! We will be back! Patt, Harold and Shatzie Petty

Wonderful views-great private location close to river and lakes-great hiking-it was everything the owner said. We will be going back next year.. A well maintained and equipped property
Talk about getting away from the Florida heat! We had morning coffee on the deck. Melanie, it was great.
Thanks for sharing your mountain cabin. We've stayed at places in Nags Head that were five times the price, and your little cabin was better equipped and more homelike. It shows that you care. We will be back. Who needs the sticky Atlantic Ocean anyway when we have the cool lakes of Fontana and Santeetlah. Thanks again.
Words cannot express to you how much we enjoyed our week at your incredible cabin. We couldn't get over the view! Everything about the cabin was beyond expectations. Thank you for sharing your cabin with us.
