Birthday weekend Getaway
Birthday weekend Getaway

The location was great. Wonderful view over the mountains from the back deck. Nicely arranged and designed house. Kitchen was well furnished. Cooked steaks on the outdoor charcoal grill. TV reception was good. No internet service but good cell phone service for checking e-mails and phone calls. Enjoyed the hot tub at least 2 times each day. Sat in the rocking chairs on the back deck in morning and evening. Convenient to Bryson City. Enjoyed eating at the Jarrett House in Dillsboro and checking out the shops in Dillsboro and Bryson City. The Smokey Mountain Railroad is a great activity for adults and children. Spent most of our time resting and visiting with friends. Beds were very comfortable. Nice picnic table on the side deck. Hot tub was under the roof of the deck so we could use it in any type of weather. Only 2 relatively minor issues with the house: 2 of the chairs at the dining room table were wobbly (this was reported to the owner when we left) and the futon in the living room was not very comfortable to sit on. It folds to make a bed and it seemed like the cushions were falling off and it felt like you were sliding off the futon while sitting on it. Overall it was a great house and it was a wonderful weekend. We would recommend it to friends and would return for another visit in the future.
