This magical A-Frame cottage is nestled on 2 beautiful acres in the Nantahala Gorge, just 2 miles from the nationally acclaimed Nantahala Outdoor Center and the Appalachian Trail. Along with the outdoor adventure opportunities waiting just down the road, the cottage also offers all the privacy, quiet and serene beauty you could ask for! A creek borders the property, complete with mini-waterfalls which can be heard from the front porch. Beautiful rock walls serve as the backdrop to the cottage and flowering perennials fill the rock wall flower beds giving the home and land an old-fashioned mountain touch.
Behind the cottage is a full acre of forest rising up a lovely ridge, complete with a wonderful trail that leads from just beside the cottage up into the woods. As you rise in elevation along the hiking trail, views of the surrounding mountains and "hollow" are visible. The cottage has been decorated with a respect for the heritage of Appalachian culture, including farm antiques and mountain made art and pottery, while also offering the best of comforts in bed and bath. High count sheets and plush towels give a hint of a spa luxury to this charming white-water adventure retreat.
Whether you are looking for water fun, a train ride, hiking, antiquing, shopping or just relaxing in the mountains, Silver Creek Cottage has it all!

Reviews for this vacation cabin rental in Bryson City, North Carolina
July 16, 2014
This cabin's location is ideal for all the activities that this area has to offer! I have been vacationing in NC for numerous years and this is the first year I could truly enjoy the NOC for several days and nights. Great atmosphere, great food, and great beer! On the negative side the cabin was a bit dirty and a bit cramped for the 4 of us. Also, having 2 kids and doing all sorts of dirty, wet activities not having a washer and dryer really was hard, we survived though! Lastly, anywhere that we rent from they always provide the firewood and this cabin didn't. We couldn't gather it because of the daily rain made everything too damp to burn. We enjoyed ourselves tremendously!
