Description from owner

Only the deer and turkey will know you are home in this secluded log cabin just below a section of the Appalachian Trail in Northeastern Tennessee. Complete privacy and a gated wrap around deck was built to contain large dogs and small children.

This fully equipped log cabin can be your home away from home for a weekend, a week or the entire summer! We even leave your first morning's breakfast "fixins" in the frig for you.

Two king bedrooms upstairs and a queen handicapped accessible first floor bedroom and bath means everyone in your family can enjoy the peace and quiet of a cabin in the woods.

Play in the creek, hike the trails on the property - why we'll even give you clippers to make a new one if you like!

Just over the mountain from Boone and Blowing Rock, NC, and Abingdon and Damascus, VA (home of the famous Virginia Creeper Biking Trail) we say we are within 45 minutes of everything! Mountain City just up the road is our county seat and there are lots of restaurants and an historical museum there as well.

Also The Snake starts in Mountain City and goes over 33 miles, with 489 curves, three mountains and one valley to Bristol - home of the famous Bristol Race Track. Take a tour of the track while you are there! Bring your bikes and your BMW's for a ride you won't forget.

And just down the road is Watauga Lake, the third cleanest lake in the US according to "them". But it is a great place to rent a pontoon boat, a paddle board/kayak or canoe to spend a day on the water. Some beach areas for swimming and picnicing and some very private areas to get away from the hustle and bustle and just lie back and relax.

Looking forward to sharing the magic of the mountains with you this year.
