Reviews for this vacation villa rental in Cabarete, North, Dominican Republic
Marita and Harald Heck
March 26, 2014
Holiday-Review from Marita and Harald Heck Germany We stayed from 17. jan. 2014 - 15. mar. 2014 in this house. For three weeks (31. jan. - 21. jan.) we had additional 3 adult guests. The kitchen : excellent equiped with all you need : mixer, smoothy-maker, espresso-machine, toaster, microwave, ceiling fan and so on. Washing machine, iron and ironing board are also available. The bedrooms : each bed very comfortable, enough beddings and towels (also beach-towels), each room with ceiling fan, two bedrooms with air-condition. The bathrooms : newly renovated and very comfortable The living room : very large (you can dance waltz), couch and 2 chairs in front of the TV, additional bed, two ceiling fans. The garden : small but nice, the trees provide shade, opaque fence, covered terrace, so You can "live" outside. The pool : 7 x 3 meter, up to 1,6 meter deep, about 28° C water-temperature, cleaned 6 days per week by Papito (he is very friendly, punctual and conscientious) The environment : guarded 24 h, next supermarket 8 minutes to walk, beach 10 minutes to walk, into the middle of Cabarete about 12 - 15 minutes to walk, so you will need no car. The supervision by the Manager (Nico Theulen) was excellent, he was always approachable at any time by phone or email. Cabarete : very nice little town, restaurants in each category available (from "plato de dia" = rice, beans and chicken for 135.- pesos up to first class restaurants, chinese and italian restaurants, ice cream parlour with many varieties of ice cream and and some restaurants right on the beach, some with live music in the evening) All in all everything for an absolutely perfect holiday (5 of 5 possible stars).

Great place for the price
July 5, 2013
If you want to stay in a 5 star home then you will have to pay the price. If you want a nice comfortable home with lots of room, at a reasonable price, then this is the place for you. My wife and I rented this home for three months from Dec1. 2012 to end of Feb. 2013. Part of this time (two weeks) we had two of our grandchildren (5 and 7) our daughter and her husband stay with us. There was lots of room for the six of us with the three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The kids had no problem in walking to the beach every day and had a great time in the pool when not at the beach. My brother in law and his wife stayed with us for one month and we all enjoyed the home. The home is well equipped with lots of towels and bedding. There were plenty of dishes, cutlery and glasses for the six of us. The clothes washer also came in very handy. The gardener, Papita, came six days a week and rakes up the leaves, cuts the grass when needed and cleans the pool daily. He also will bring you drinking water when you run out. We have stayed in homes at twice the price and have never had the yard and pool cleaned daily. Niko, who manages this home for the owners was very helpful with any problems we had and went out of his way to keep us satisfied. If he said he would do something we knew it would be done. This is not always the case in dealing with people in the Dominican. The home is within walking distance to everything that Cabarete has to offer. We are in our early sixties and had no problem in carrying our groceries home when needed from the nearby grocery store. The area felt very safe and the neighbourhood is very quiet. My wife did not hesitate to walk anywhere by herself. We gave this home a three star rating because we believe that it belongs in that class, but we would certainly give it a 4 to 5 star rating for that type of home in this price range. We would not hesitate to recommend it to friends and family.
