Description of the Calitri vacation home rental
Casa del Cipresso provides the perfect location to serve as your home base as you explore the regions of Campania, Basilicata and Puglia in Southern Italy. Discover the charming hill towns, castles, vineyards, historical sites, and beautiful views.

Day trip to:
-Amalfi Coast (1hour 30minutes)
-Pompeii (1hour 40minutes)
-Paestum (1hour 40minutes)
-Naples (1hour 45minutes)
-Galgano Coast (1hour 15minutes)

Casa del Cipresso is situated near the ancient Calitri Castle (now host to a Ceramics Museum) and is part of the "Antico Borgo" or old village. It is located on a quiet, medieval, pedestrian only street. There is free parking, grocery store, fruit and vegetable shop, bakery, tabacchi, ceramics shop of a local artisan, and a convenient Thursday street market...all less than a block away. Also in the old "Borgo", you can find a traditional Enoteca (serving local wine and cheese) a terrace bar where you can sit with a drink and take in the spectacular views of the countryside, two restaurants, and the tourist office.

It is a pleasant(10 minute)walk through the Medieval Borgo to the "new" part of Calitri; there you will find shops, restaurants, pizzarias, coffee bars, bars, banks, post office, bus stop, swimming pool, internet cafe, and all the other town amenities you would expect to find in a town of about 6000 residents.

We have made arrangements with a local hotel to provide guests with access to their beautiful, outdoor swimming pool. Pool passes can be purchased daily or weekly.

Recently renovated, this cozy, Hill Town home still retains all it's charm and local characteristics.
-Great Room (Living, Dining and Kitchen)
-Bedroom (Queen Bed) with bathroom (Shower, Sink, Toilet)
-Loft Bedroom (2 Single Beds) PLease note: Loft bedroom is open to the living area and has restricted head-room.

We had a lovely stay at your house in May. Calitri is a delightful little town and a very relaxing place to visit. We definitely plan to return on one of our next trips.

Owner Supplied Testimonials

"We had a wonderful time in Calitri...The weather was wonderful - the bars were extraordinarily cheap (we had difficulty spending more than five euros). We really really enjoyed it. Thank you very much again - and for all your useful advice and tips." - Sally and Andrew (London, England)
