clean, great neighborhood with all you need

December 27, 2013

The rooms were just perfect for our family. They had everything you needed. The only thing I would change would be to have a king bed in the master instead of two small beds. Thank you for your warm home.

fun filled memorial weekend

May 29, 2013

The house was exactly as presented online: same furniture, same bedding...everything was clean and bright, and the house was well stocked with towels and linens. My family had a great time soaking in the house's hot tub, walking to the coastline to check out the tide pools and enjoying the view/mini hike along the water. It is gorgeous there and it is so nice to be walking distance to the tide pools! The DVD player allowed us to watch movies together each night before hitting the sack. Be warned, it is a little tough to get used to being disconnected (no internet or cell phone service here), but that isn't necessarily a bad thing either. My family is used to having wifi, so if the house was equipped with that, it would absolutely be a 5 star place. All in all, we loved it...! :)

Very nice

October 6, 2012

We enjoyed our visit very much. The accomodations were right on, beds quite comfortable with extra linens, etc. We had agreed to check in late at 4:00 PM and were disappointed to not be able to get into the house until 5:00 PM. Then the oven had cleaning foam in it that had not been removed. Overall, a good experience, would stay again.

Quiet Setting, nice walk to beach

July 7, 2012

The house had plenty of space for our family of 4. A very clean house with all the amentities we needed. The thing the kids missed was that the TV's only had basic network programs. We weren't home that much because we used Cambria as a base and took day trips. Cambria beaches were beautiful and romantic but rocky. We walked to the Cambria beach every night. Although Downtown Carmbria appeared to us as a tourist trap we did like driving back to this quiet setting. We loved Fiscalini Ranch nature trails along the beach cliffs and walking Moonstone beach. Of course the kids liked Pismo and Cayucos sandy beaches 20 minutes away. It's a 25 minute drive through the beautiful country side to the wineries! The only real supermarket was a good 20 minutes away so we had to plan our meals. Very generous with towels and sheets. We would recommend this location. We had a great vacation, one we will always remember as a family.

Very relaxing week!

June 21, 2011

Lovely places to walk along the cliffs of Cambria just a short walk to the trail, sea otters, and sea lions along the coast - just such a remarkable place. The house is very nicely appointed in a quiet neighborhood. For those seeking a quiet retreat this is a great location.

Very relaxing

March 22, 2010

This was a wonderful, clean, well appointed home that "fit the bill" for our stay. - RELAXATION - The area was quiet, within easy walking distance to the beach. But if you need to 'stay connected' this mght not be the place you want to stay. No cell service here and very slow to on-existent internet connection. Had to drive around to find cell service area. But all-in-all had a nice time

Cambria vacation home with a sea view

April 20, 2009

We had a lovely mid-week vacation in Cambria. Windy enough to knock out the power the first night but it came back before we got back from dinner. Comfortable bedrooms. My teenager loved the loft with the wide-screen TV. Fully stocked kitchen was great. We enjoyed seeing resident deer in the neighborhood. A binder with map, local info, grocery stores, restaurants would have been nice. We had a great lunch at Robin's and would have had more there. Heast Castle was beautiful once again. Can't miss the evening tour. Nearby elephant seals were great to see. Lovely place for a walk near the tidepools.

Relaxing retreat

March 11, 2009

The house we stayed in with well designed for aesthetic enjoyment. It used reclaimed materials wonderfully and gorgeous interior color scheme. However, poorly designed for energy. Downstaires freezing. Heating mechanisms sent heat out the skylights. Also, much of furniture were props. Not comfortable for actual use.

Owner Supplied Testimonials

We had a marvelous time. My turkey feast was Perfect!! I was really concerned about having all the necessary items in the kitchen and just went with faith...found everything I needed to pull it off! We will be back next year--I want to tell you that your hospitality in making the transaction for our stay was a wonderful experience and you are great at what you do!

We have been coming to Cambria for business & R & R for many years. Stayed in several houses during that period. Our first in yours. We really like the layout, functionality and especially the loft/view/study areas. The kitchen was a dream for my wife.

Wow ! Hearst Castle, elephant seals, wineries, state and national forests. So much to do PLUS a warm, comfortable, wonderful place to come home to! This home could not have been better if I had furnished and stocked it myself! Rick & Kani, Oviedo, FL

We were in your home 7 years ago for Thanksgiving. It was wonderful to come back again and revisit the memories of that trip. It is a comfortable home put together, obviously by people who care. Everything is there for the comfort of your guests. Thanks for sharing your home with us.
