Description from owner

Our beautifully renovated Post and Beam Barn is close to all that central and northern Vermont has to offer, including the Lamoille Rail Trail, Smugglers' Notch, Johnson State College and the Long Trail. It's comfortably furnished with a Vermont farm theme in mind. There's a king-bedded room on the first floor right next door to a full bath. The second story has a large queen-bedded room with an attached full bath. There are two additional beds in a loft area accessed via a spiral staircase. There's also a sleeper sofa in the living area. The floor plan is open and spacious with three leather sofas and several chairs in the living area. A large deck with grill, table and chairs on the back of the house over looks fields of planted crops.

About the area

The house sits back a nice distance from the road and is right off Route 15 between the villages of Jeffersonville and Johnson. The property has a great sliding hill in the winter. A campfire pit for use year round. And farms roads to walk and explore. One of the farm roads intersects the rail trail allowing one to walk, bike, x-county ski or snowshoe for miles at no cost Smugglers' Notch Resort is a ten to fifteen minute drive. The airport in Burlington is an hour's drive. There are several fabulous places for lunch and dinner. Things to do in the area are numerous. Winter activities include downhill skiing, snowmobiling, x-country skiing and sleigh rides to name a few. Summer activities include swimming, canoeing, fishing, visiting a vineyard, hiking the long trail and shopping. The fall brings some of the most brilliant color in New England and spring always has the smell of maple sap being boiled in the air. Within just a short drive you can sail on Lake Champlain, visit Ben & Jerry's or take a tour of our state capitol. No matter what the season, there's usually something for everyone.
