Description of the Campobello Island vacation cabin rental
This vintage Airstream mobile home, with tastefully re-done interior, is located on an exquisite Oceanfront parcel overlooking Head Harbor Passage on Campobello Island. The view/vista is quite simply, "Spectacular". Accessed by a short winding driveway beneath apple trees, by raspberry and blackberry bushes, the Airstream sits on a private, 5 acre plot, from which you will see amongst others, Deer Island NB, Lubec and Eastport, Me. Sit amongst blueberry bushes on the ocean bank and watch dolphin, seals, whales, and myriad birdlife go by. Sunrises and Sunsets are magnificent. The Airstream is quite comfortable and a unique experience. You will soon realize why this form of travel is so popular. The two single beds have luxurious temperfoam mattresses and the well equipped kitchen can produce gourmet meals should you be so inclined. There is a large attached deck, ample parking, hammock and chairs for your pleasure. There is also an outdoor firepit for cookouts or just plain enjoying an evening watching the embers with moon in the background.Step back in time to a more tranquil era and simply let yourself relax on this beautiful island.

Area Information
Campobello (Beautiful country) is just that. Once visited, you will always wish to return. Crossing the bridge from Lubec and the US you will drive on to one of the more beautiful islands in the eastern hemisphere. A virtual Artist Paradise with one view more spectacular than the last. Islands, Sky, Ocean, Craggy Rockbound Coast, Marine Life, Birds,Flowers, will all combine to form a kaleidoscope of unbounded memories. Visit Franklin D Roosevelt's summer home and see how the "rusticators" lived at the early 20th Century. Go for a cruise on a two masted Banks schooner or off on a Whale watching boat.Play golf on FDR designed 9 hole course. Walk along the rock beaches. Dine at local restaurants for delicious home cooked "Downeast" meals. Visit art galleries, bird carving studios, or simply sit and watch the boats go by. Campobello can be a life changing experience if you let it.

We liked it so much, we stayed another night! Great re-model of a classic trailer. Very clean, very comfortable mattresses (I'm 6'4"), great bathroom, full fridge, etc. Fantastic views from the property; you are not stretching on your toes to look over trees and brush. Open, 180° vistas to Eastport, Deer Island and Head Harbour Passage. Whales, birds and vessels to watch. Paths lead to other parts of the property with other interesting views and benches where you can contemplate nature. Close to amenities, but you feel that you are away from it all. Great place; we'll be back!
